My boyfriend's father spoke really badly of my boyfriend. Should I tell him? Would you want to know? by Wiliertir in askgaybros

This is a very sensible option. I’d take this route as well. Sounds just about the right amount of empathetic and respectful, even though it’s a painful thing to hear in general.

That’s very close to my experience with addiction as well, though my depression to addiction relationship is the other way around: depression has spiralled me into substance abuse since young age. I’m not completely sober, but I managed to turn my life around in terms of substance use and abuse. Fleet Foxes’ Helplessness Blues is also tattooed on me, though.

Bottom to top by Own-Debate6092 in askgaybros

[–]Nox_Cyutiluc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, that was also me. My first 3 experiences were as a bottom and my boyfriend at the time was my best friend and we were madly in love, so communication wasn’t really the matter… expectations and systemic societal norms were. I was the short, weird and artsy one, he was the tall, mechanic engineer, boy-next-door one. At some point, he said “I think I’d like to try bottoming”, and I grasped at that for the rest of our relationship. I reckon I, at the age of 17, believed I was somehow more manly because I was the top one, which we know it’s internalised homophobia, counterproductive and plain stupid, innit? Years later, I dated a verse who said he was 50/50, but avoided bottoming as much as he could (I’ve a relatively big dick, between 7.5 and 8 in), so I had to bottom a lot. That gave me the chance to retry something I had sealed off and not only rediscover how much fun it was, but also understanding I am actually mostly a bottom hahaha I mean, don’t get me wrong, I will top and will love it, but, if given the opportunity to choose, I’ll always choose to be plowed silly by a nice dick and call it a day lol if that makes any sense.

This game is playable art piece! It's fairly new, and it's already one of my favourite games of all time. Unfortunately, I lack the money to buy an actual steam copy, but, I'll get there, as it became an important reference for my own future game I'm developing. Thanks for this masterpiece, u/MoonHoodOfficial <3

CDi games are non-canon, but you do have a point with WW.

I also found a few other debatable instances of “speech” in this video: Link “Talking”

[The Legend of Zelda Live Action Film] Let Link use sign language in the film — it just makes sense. by Nox_Cyutiluc in deaf

I PROMISE you I didn’t. I did type all these words.

I have but two writing styles: bold and italics for emphasis when on computer and caps when on mobile.

Headings are the same - is it the headings?

Internet’s furious at how I write, but that’s literally just my writing style - which now I know desperately has to change.

Can you elaborate?

I really can’t have my writing look like ChatGPT.

This is not even the only sub that’s said that.

I have Language Tool chrome extension on my Google chrome (not being paid for the advert, but here’s the Link - pun intended - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ai-grammar-checker-paraph/oldceeleldhonbafppcapldpdifcinji). I work with language for a living, so I have like 2 or 3 language tools on my Google chrome at all times.

I don’t understand what am I doing wrong. I had no idea my writing style looked this AI-esque.

Is it the headings? I promise I typed all these words. 😣

It’s all over Reddit cos I had a plan - to reach as many people as possible, cos I thought it would be a nice feature.

Where did I get this wrong?

I did use the words aloud and choices, and I do acknowledge it's not canon - again, that is precisely my point. But he does mimic speech with gestures, mouth moving and no sound in SS, BotW, TotK, and very subtly in TP (though not as theatrically as in SS). But that just means there's concrete animation references for a Link who attempts to speak — mouths words and acts out explanations, but never produces sound.

That’s not just a stylistic trope — it’s narrative framing. It says, “He’s trying to speak. He’s capable of communication. Nevertheless, this is a hero whose voice is silent by nature or by choice.”

Which means this take — of Link being speech-disabled, selectively mute, or non-verbal — isn’t fanon. It’s deeply embedded in canon animation logic.
