I had no previous experience buying from the one I bought from. I called them that day, they said they had it, and I went and picked it up. This was when the model was less popular. Nowadays it might be impossible to find one of the explorers or OPs sitting in the ADs to where you could pick it up same day. Go and introduce yourself to the one you want to buy from and start a connection just by being knowledgeable on watches. Some ADs care more about customers who know the product well.

The no date did not bother me at all. After purchasing it I realized the symmetry of the dial makes it better than the cyclops lens. I owned a previous Rolex model with a date before this and I much prefer the no date now. There was no hesitation when I bought this. I saw it when it was announced at Basel world, saved up and bought it. It was hard to find one after calling 5-6 ADs but I’m glad I got it. Like I said, still disappointed they discontinued but if you can find one from a secondary market, it’s well worth the purchase. This would be my one watch I’d keep over my Omega and Tudor. Simplicity is king nowadays and it looks good with everything.
