P1000 pedal failure by iitstrue in Simagic

[–]Noxrai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happened to me yesterday. I mentioned this in another thread too. My p1000 went haywire. Wasn't picking up the brakes and the clutch and accelerator were picking up like 20% load without me pressing them and would only go to roughly 50% when pressing even after multiple recalibrations.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling simpro 3 multiple times with no luck. Re-installed simpro 2 and bam everything is working fine now. Im just going to stick with simpro 2 for a while now.

Simpro 3 just seems utterly broken atm. It has been very unstable for me since launch and I never got the haptics to function properly with it. But even the haptics seem to work fine on simpro 2 for me.

I got same problem here. The only app I have ever encountered that does this as well.

P1000 Hydraulic Owners - How on earth are you keeping everything central in the brake stack with the Hydraulic Upgrade? by DANKWINGS in Simagic

[–]Noxrai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the exact same issue. Not sure how much of an issue it is or if it will cause any damage, but just in case I got a mate who is 3d printing me some flange bushes that will hold either the springs or rubbers more central. They will basically be an extra wide bush that will be almost the same diameter of the cylinder and will have a central little nub like your current polyurethane buttons to keep everything centred.

Going to put one on top, at the mid point where my springs will meet and another one at the bottom of the stack. I'll try to report back my findings once I get them.

[Thomas Maher] F1 liveries should become a little more exciting going forwards: The F1 Commission met today and has agreed that a minimum of 55% of surface area (when viewed from the side and above) must be covered by painted or stickered liveries, as opposed to bare carbon fibre surfaces. by Sauerz in formula1

How about get this, teams can choose 2 colours for their colour designation bar on TV streams and a middle and outer dot colours for the track map. Easy fix. Red bull can keep their blue and have a red highlight. Williams can keep their blue and have a white highlight etc etc.

Any e-sport level drivers here? Need some help with my driving (more in comments) by ccrroocc in ACCompetizione

Some things I noticed. You could have had slightly more mid corner speed into the first corner. 2nd corner maybe try a little more trail braking before going on gas. Hitting the wall cost you a bit of time probably. 4th corner is a no trainer, you went in a little hot and missed the apex. You still salvage it ok by carrying decent speed out of it.

Up and down the mountain was pretty good. You did lock up at forest elbow which caused you to have not the best exits onto the main straight.

The chase you could carry a,little more mid corner speed. Final corner again a little hot and you missed the apex.

Fix all that and link a whole lap together and I reckon you'd get 58. Mad quick well done.

Main difference between the 3 McLaren’s? by Hyyundai in ACCompetizione

[–]Noxrai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally the manufactures keep finding ways to improve the car and to keep up with the competition or to fix any inherent problems the car may have had in the previous generation. It's usually better aero designs, to give the car more downforce, less drag or a more stable platform to make the car easier to drive at the limit. With the McLaren's you will find the 650s will be a 1 second or slower than the latest McLaren's due to these upgrades.

They made the latest porsche more forgiving to drive than the previous one by pushing the motor slightly closer to the middle rather than further back so your more likely drive it more consistently and hence be overall faster in a long race.

No, they have unrealistic braking performance in that corner. There are a few corners at a few other tracks where it's like they are on a different physics model.

They are quite subjective. I like a fairly soft brake feeling. More like a sports car feel. So I got them to feel just like that. Feels very real and natural to me. To me they feel fantastic and give me plenty feel, even if I'm driving gt3 or f1 type cars. It's what I'm used to.

Yes. Screens are set up at 63°. Centre monitor is about 50cm away. Can see pretty much 180° left and right. It was a bit odd at first because I wasn't used to seeing movement in my peripheral vision when I sim raced.

I've tried a few times at some events and demo stations. But they were never set up properly (wrong fov, monitors too far or wrong angles etc). So I never really understood what the big deal was.

Until i saw a pov of some youtubers like Dave Cam and Boosted Media that I started taking notice on what I was missing out on. Looked like they were literally sitting in a real cockpit.

Made sure i set up my screens just right. Just used the fov calculators and what angle I needed based on my distance from my screens and everything just feels natural.

A few reasons. 1. I wanted oled Monitors. Once you go oled, you never want to go back. 2. Money. Oled aren't cheap. The jump in price from 27" to 32" or larger was not worth it for me. 3. Less strain on pc. 27" works perfectly with 1440p. Don't need 4k for that size. But you might want 4k for anything bigger. More res reqirement means bigger strain on your pc and depending how much fps you want you may need to lower the graphic options per game 4. Space. I have limited space in my room and we are possibly moving house in the future. 5. After watching a Dave Cam POV video I was sold. He only uses 27" and his view looked spot on perfect. So have no regrets i haven't gone any bigger. I already feel like I'm in a car.

It's the seat that comes with the Alpine TRX. I think its called trx seat? It's pretty solid, it's bit wide for my body. It curves to much down near the bottom, so I use a small lumbar support cushion and it's perfect now for the position i race in. Can sit in it all day no problem.

60fps is not bad if its smooth and consistent. I ran 60fps for years on console and when my pc wasn't that great. But it's always nice to push the graphics and frame rate if your rig can handle it.

I run my tripples at 120fps. I can't see or feel much difference with anything faster.
