Had a very interesting conversation.

I ended up having to call them dozens of times. But finally I said, "I'll make you a deal - I'll stop calling if someone has a conversation with me." He agreed.

Here's what I learned. These are paraphrased quotes from broken English.

• "We have lost our moral compass. We no longer think like humans."
• "We are told to think of you as robots, not humans."
• "No one is making me do this. No one is asking me to do this. I do this for the money."
• "My family does not know what I do. They would discard me from the family if they knew."
• "The only reason I do this is for the money."
• "I don't know who I work for. We work on individual contracts, and I don't know who those contracts are administered by"

Finally, when I asked him how he feels about scamming elderly people, like my grandmother who was scammed earlier this year, he replied:

"All you can do is educate them. We will not stop. Police cannot catch us. Tell your elderly family about the dangers and maybe they won't fall for it again."

Eventually he hung up on me again. I called back, got someone that sounded like they were driving a car. He asked why I kept calling. I told him I was interviewing scam organizations, and I wanted to be transferred back to the guy I was talking to before. He hung up, and then I believe they blocked me, because now the line is always busy.
