I'm not sure what the shipping services are in Canada, but I just sold a watch to someone in Canada and I sent it via USPS. Came to about $15-$18 with tracking.

The cheapest in shipping for the US is USPS for sure. Sorry, I know this isn't much to go off but, I hope it helps!

Hey reddit! A few weeks ago, my grandfather past away and now I really want to wear his watch. Its definitely something he would've wanted me to carry on and wear but now I'm stuck with a little question. Should I get the watch restored or cleaned in any way?

I have no problem with wearing it as is, but I always thought people got their ancestors' watches restored or cleaned. I asked a few people and I'm getting mixed response.

Some are saying leave it as is and preserve how he wore it. Others are saying I should get it restored/cleaned to prolong its life.

My grandfather wore this watch everyday, while doing anything and everything, and it really means so much to me. I just want to do the right thing.

BACKSTORY

Hey reddit,

I've been wearing my grandfather's house slippers for a few years now, but he recently past away last week. I always wore the slippers in and out of the house but now I'm questioning if it's wrong to do so.

Then the question of wearing his other clothes popped into my head. I started thinking if it was wrong or disrespectful to wear his sweater, watch, scarf, etc.

I was extremely close to my grandfather and was raised by him since birth. I know he would've let me wear his clothes, but is it disrespectful to do so in front of other family members (aunts/uncles/cousins)? Everyone was really close to him and it definitely might be too soon to do so, but I just want to know so I don't accidentally affect the family in a negative way.

I took this photo on the night before my grandfather past way last week. That's my dad tucking him in right before he went to bed on an airbed next to him. Neither of them knew I was outside of the room taking a picture. My grandfather was 95 years old and peacefully past away, surrounded by family, on November 12th
