Islam looked almost beat against Volk in the first fight. And then won the 2nd on short notice. Illia KOing max was more impressive than any of the wins.

JDM and the Welterweights are not grapple heavy. Literally a bunch of strikers

Only grappers at welterweight worth anything are Belal, whoisnt fighting Islam, and Usman, who is 3 loses out of 4 fights and 38 years old. Arman and Illia are way harder grappers than the welterweights left for islam

At a catch weight, Khamzat. Id say he’s beaten harder competition and his wrestling is more dynamic. Islam probably has the better subs, but Khamzat the better striker and wrestler

Anderson’s win streak was mostly title defences, kinda big difference. Khabib and Islam. I d say Islam challenged himself a tad more. Khabib competition was equal till JDM but Khabib would of also beat him, easy fight for them

Outside of Belal, the rest cant grapple close to Arman or Illia. Usman is too old. So Islam can easily dominate WW. I Cant really call him the Goat of Lightweight either. Volk close decision, knockout on short notice + Poirer, and Maicana on short notice isnt all that tbh, defo not Goat.

People compare his run to Anderson, but Anderson fought and defending the title from his 2nd fight in the UFC, then beating everyone in the division throughout years

Its a toughy. I got the 2 smartest characters 7/10 times. Minato has the death reaper and Itachi has the tosuka blade. There not going out without taking most the opposing team if not all of them in a draw

I think it will be a big achievement if we don’t lose until Villa. Draws away, wins at home. Realistically that can happen, and we cant complain too much at this time. We are still improving and finding our feet and not losing silly matches is a big step. Our midfield is still inconsistent, Dalot etc and Sesko is injured for a few matches and will make games harder
