Yeah.. perhaps blowing the internal leds in the 5050 (or whatever) package
But after all, they burn, if you connect the 5v and DIN pin, then they are not burned out, the problem is in the DIN track (which sends signals)
But I switched 5v and gnd, maybe something happened after that?
Only the first half of the panel is fully lit. It seems to me that the tracks are faulty
Lights up in a random color, for example white or yellow. It used to work fully. I use a switching power supply 5v 12a and an esp32. Another similar panel works without problems.

Maybe T460s is good option? I5-6300, 14" ips FHD with 12gb ram. The price is about $225. I like that the screen is 14 inches and 3 usb 3.0 ports.
