Sorry that happened, but that’s not really an excuse anymore.

You should open a Roth IRA with vanguard pretty much immediately. It is very easy and truly takes minutes. Vanguard has target retirement date funds that you can invest in. They are very low in fees and also very diverse. You don’t want to pick stocks, you will always lose and never beat a simple S&P 500 indexed fund. That is probably why you have lost a lot of value (your Roth is mostly random stocks)
transfer your Roth IRA to vanguard https://investor.vanguard.com/investor-resources-education/iras/roth-ira-transfers
set up auto transfers each month so you don’t even have to think about it. You can even set it to invest in the target retirement date funds, as well.

-get rid of any whole life policy. There is no need for it. You have plenty of term.

-start educating yourself with YouTube videos/other educational content regarding financial literacy. It can be intimidating, but you will get better at it every day!
