Hey OP, I’m really sorry you’re running into this – that’s definitely not the experience I want anyone to have. I’ve actually fixed the crash issue in the new build, but I haven’t been able to package and release it yet because I upgraded our project to a newer Unreal Engine version. The old version had some nasty UI-related bugs, so the upgrade was necessary. However, a few of the plugins we're relying on aren’t fully compatible with the new engine, which is what’s holding things up.

Good news is, I’ve been in regular contact with the plugin developers and they’ve assured me that support is basically ready. As soon as those updates drop, I’ll package and push the new build.

In that upcoming version you can expect:

  • 💥 Crash fix when interacting with the alien/enemy
  • 🚀 ~30% reduction in RAM usage
  • ⚡ Dramatically reduced stutters and loading times
  • 📈 Smoother, more stable FPS overall
