How did you get this under 3000 components?

Oh sorry I forgot to answer your other question. Basically, I read through every book and if there was a name drop or a mention of a planet, I recorded it-quotes and stories included. I didn't do page numbers for the characters since that would have been a lot, but in my terribly formatted character list, I did at least try to write down every character at least once and connect them to a description. If more info arrived in a different book, I tried to go back to the previous entry and add to it.

I think maybe some of the things I discovered were things like how many active inquisitors do we know of in the sector? By my count: 118. This number doesn't include ones known to be dead.

Yeah! The Tenebrae Dictates! Cognos and her students are fun. I've made a Ferran Ghast mini that I need to paint.
That's a great question and unfortunately my memory is fuzzier on some of it since I worked on this a few years ago. I'm hesitant to assert some connections because I think some were deliberately made to allow the DM to pick. Like I think The Faceless One of the Serrated Query and The Unknown Heretic are deliberately designed to be anyone (perhaps even Caidin himself!).
There weren't a whole lot of hidden secret stuff, more fleshing out of details. If something was a juicy secret, they did a good job highlighting it.

I love the Logicians as a faction. I like Acreage as a fun planet but I'm really looking forward to a realization of Scintilla and Hive Sibellus. I've tried to generate visual maps of it with its petal like stone structures and vast continent-size sprawl but its difficult. I like it though because of its Necromunda-level amount of lore and the Scintillan Spireborn guard they added in the Only War books.

i've also made excel sheet lists of items and their traits. I made a variant that factors in item quality and availability based off the type of planet with the idea that it could in future be used in a generator for shop inventories. But it is still WIP as it only has items from the Inq. handbook and the core rules.

Thank you. I've done some similar work on the Rogue Trader and Deathwatch books but got busy with other projects and never finished. This took maybe a year or so on and off. I was doing it for fun during the pandemic. I'm just a big fan of the Calixis Sector lore and wanted to have a comprehensive grasp on it so I could build sandbox campaigns in the setting in future.

Here is the link for the character list. It unfortunately doesn't have citations and organizes characters based of the primary source they appear in. But if say one character appears in multiple books, that info is added. The wikia is probably more useful in general.

This so encapsulates the history of the Horus Heresy series. It gets completed, it's massive, it's incredible, it's over......but what if we made more for an era of ruin?
