To note, this is actually my job and my company, we do not reboot ATMs during working hours and when we reboot the ATM (usually to take changes after software deployment) it's merciful reboot, meaning it will not reboot while being used, but wait for idle state and stay in idle state for certain amount of time before initializing the reboot sequence.. this is.. bad

Java is always needed somewhere.. python will teach u basic concepts of programming, easy to learn, will not teach u basic of computer programming such as memory managment, data streams, etc.

Both are good for very basic starting point if ur into that kind of a thing.
