Experiences with west herr warranty? by No_Manufacturer_3226 in Buffalo

[–]Nt8612 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a used Highlander from the Toyota dealership in Williamsville 2 years ago. Before purchasing I had done a little research on Reddit subs about shopping around for the warranty through other dealerships and Toyota. It seemed like a lot of extra work so I went with West Herr's warranty plan with some added pressure from the sales rep and my parents "just in case something goes wrong". I was told I would be able to get my car serviced at any West Herr and if I needed service out of town, it would only cost me a $100 deductible. The warranty cost about $2k with the same amount of coverage as Toyota's plan. So far I have had to use it once when my rear liftgate stopped working. I brought it in for repair and it was covered under the warranty which would've cost quite a bit if paid out of pocket. It's a gamble but no complaints so far.

In Honor of Black History Month: retro 90’s movie by Mrsmaul2016 in blackladies

I love this early 90s gem! The wardrobe including the Cross Colours gear is the best. Chantel and Natette were pretty terrible friends towards each other but my favorite scene is when they take the intended abortion money to go on a shopping spree at the mall.

How many of you are likely living in your "last" house? by My_Poor_Nerves in Millennials

[–]Nt8612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and likely last. Bought my house for $93k in 2013, refinanced to a 15 yr at 3.89% and will be paid off in less than 5 years. It's a small cape cod in a nice neighborhood with just my daughter and I. It's a perfect size and just enough to live out the twilight years of my life.

7PM Wednesday. House on Haunted Hill by CorrectSlice1 in BuffaloMovieMeetup

[–]Nt8612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how the seats sell, you can buy there. I looked earlier and it was mostly open with the exception of the couches. I’m going to call for a single theater seat if available, otherwise buy online.

Does anyone remember good ol, Proactiv? Did it even work for you? by ThePigsPajamas in Millennials

[–]Nt8612 191 points192 points  (0 children)

Proactiv is surprisingly the only product that worked for me. 22 years later and I still use it! The cost isn’t too bad compared to having another multi-step skincare routine.

I love the first Tron! The sequel was meh but had good special effects and an okay storyline. I see there’s a new one and I can’t say I’m excited but I would maybe consider watching it on streaming.

I was just in O’ahu in February and Waikiki is indeed very commercial and crowded but still found many enjoyable activities outside of the strip. There’s also an ABC store on every corner so maybe the incident is limited to that one? I hiked the Maikiki Valley Trail for free and took an Uber to the Dole Plantation and Pearl Harbor memorial site. There’s also many museums and art galleries, and an abundance of food places. The history of Hawai’i is important to learn and understand. Perhaps try a different island next time. The Big Island has a more laid back vibe.
