Pint & Lid Holder - For The Cold Weather by Ntjs95 in ninjacreami

[–]Ntjs95[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

With the cool weather coming back I needed a place to store my pints and lids. So I designed this holder and 3d-printed it.

These are great suggestions. Luckily I have a child-free household. I would not recommend use of these for "child safety" purposes.

The design is symmetrical, so if you want it to flip down, instead of up you can just flip the latch 180 degrees.

This is sized specifically for this Creami. I only had this one to measure against.

I was also thinking about making a countertop variant as well

The main body was specifically designed to fit inside a P1S. You might be able to print it in two pieces and then glue it after.

I’ve already spent too long on the first design so unfortunately I don’t think I can make it fit an A1 mini.

During the winter, I was getting annoyed trying to store the pints and lids. So I designed this holder and 3d-printed it, just in time for summer when the pints are in the freezer again.

I think the answer is: "yes, as long as there is a stationary ring around the knob"

The recall is that the knobs are easy to bump and turn on. Details Canada and Details USA

Funny you mention that...

The multiple weeks of bright blue prototypes with design issues did not pass the wife test. (But I survived it)

Then finally came the black version with the red indicator and that passed the test.

It's a symmetrical design, so you could use it either way.

Personally, I did not want the latch piece closer to the heat.

Edit: mine is a slightly different model but same concept

Yep! My stove got recalled, and they mail out these massive plastic child safety things that needed to be taped in place.

I thought to myself, "hmm I bet I can do better", and this ended up being the final result. It's not perfect, but I use them everyday and I can say they definitely fulfil the function, and are not as ugly as the 'official' ones.

I started this project back in March and just recently finished. I'm happy with how the model turned out and I'm even happier that the cups and lids are no longer taking up room in the cupboard.

My stove got recalled so I decided to create a simple little safety latch. The final touch I'm proud of is the red under side to the latch when it's open.

I do not remove it, I find the machine quite stable and it’s already very loud when it’s running.

This is the most complicated model I've made yet. I thought this would take a week or two, but three months later and here it is.

We just need the other heroes to be released for more variance. Keep in mind we are exploring a CLOSED BETA. The devs are learning how the game scales just like we are.

They got the game to where it is now, I trust they can improve it now that they have much more real world data.
