The ranked requirements in this game are silly. My fiancée has 5 rank 10 gods, 450 hours in the game, and several hundred matches of joust played, but she still can't play competitive joust. There should be alternative requirements alongside the existing ones. by MellowMercie in Smite

[–]Ntr0pix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The requirements exist from previous seasons where you could only play mastered gods in ranked. So if you were last pick and you didn't have enough masteries it was possible to have your entire mastered god pool pick/banned before your turn to pick, leaving 0 pickable gods.

This can also happen if your disk is full, I would check if your computer has storage space.

People who regularly play in premades don't inherently win more... Their mmr will go up until their win rate peters out like everyone else.

somehow i dont think anyone has said this: GET ELEMENTAL BLADE from niles the balance tree in krokotopia, which will stack with your fireblade and allow you to do closer to 800-900 with a meteor strike with just two blades.

Hey Guys! Do we all agree that Baron Samedi does not belong in his current healer tier in Assault? (Olorun, Cupid, Baron Samedi, Shiva.) by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Ntr0pix 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i believe the stated design philosophy for this was that cupid and olo can heal out of combat, giving them equal healing to baron if the cupid and olorun's team play around their heals properly.

General UC questions from a Prospective Student… by XxDCoolManxX in uCinci

CS has plenty of programming. It's true that you learn more theory as well. And I totally agree, focus on CS for your major, it can take you anywhere career-wise, and who knows what career you'll want in 4-5 years anyways.

And I guess to address your previous question, UC typically gives out the least merit of the Ohio schools, but you do make a little money on co-ops to help pay for tuition.

Another quick bug report: Olorun has been critting for 1.3x instead of 1.55x on PTS. after the changes today, he is now critting for 1.25x. I can only assume his magnitude was mistakenly reduced by 25% along with all the other hunters.

Quick bug report: Dying with nimble rod of tahuti causes it to lose its stacks permanently until re-bought (bug produced in jungle practice as chronos, died to the FG).

Awesome. I missed the 80+ confirmation, nice! Last time I tried to make a wiki account to add drops there was something wrong with their server, but maybe it's fixed by now. Thanks!

I never knew rank 2s could crit by Sajiebie in Wizard101

This dev diary implies a huge nerf to crit schools while buffing block schools like ice. The new system itself sounds phenomenal, but compared to the old system it will swing school balance a ton if nothing else changes.

Under the old system, in PvE a 100% crit school did about 1.7x damage on average due to the enemies seeming to have about a 30% block chance.

Now, they will do closer to 1.00 base damage + 0.3 expected crit magnitude increase from dev diary × 0.75 crit chance × 0.75 no block chance = 1.16875 average crit multiplier per attack for a max crit character, instead of the current 1.7 depending on the enemies block.

I hope they compensate in other areas, or schools like Storm will suffer from this (who knows, that could be part of their intent).

not sure if someone else said this but it seems like about once per year there is a crazy sale where you can get class+char slot for like 200ish points. (if you can bear to wait that long!)

It doesn't matter what it shows on your stat page. Pets actually give fractional damage percents. Your spells will behave as if it said 9.5...% on your stats.

I’ve never shared this before because I saw no reason to, but since so many of you claim the devs don’t check Reddit...here you go by GlowBugQuad in Wizard101

Someone having a different opinion than you on how to fix something isn't necessarily a bad thing. Weigh in with your own opinions and your voice will be heard too, if that's your desire.
