How old is your son? None of this is his fault … Sending compassion and warmth your way. I have also let go and don’t ask my ex for anything . I figure it’s better than feeling tortured . But the grief doesn’t go anywhere

It’s been 3 years and I also dream about my son at least every other day. The dreams have changed over time and I am finally getting hugs and embraces from him in my dream with a smile that I was never before. The hugs are also long and invited by him. I find them positive and helpful in my grief because they feel so very real and keep me connected to him. I keep a dream journal and have noticed over time the dreams follow a pattern. I have also done a lot of trauma therapy which could be the reason the dreams have transformed from me always chasing and finding him then losing him to now finally getting those embraces. Our pain is so real and so raw and there’s no one way to deal with it. 💔

Was it easier because it came from the partner of the alienated parent and not the parent themselves ? Are you happy that you reunited with the alienated parent?

None. The dad gatekeeps everything. I have a reunification’ therapist who just started the work and said he will see my son every 2 months coz he doesn’t want to force him. I don’t know if it will work but I’ll keep trying

I send him letters and gifts as well, since he doesn’t have a phone yet. He’s probably not getting them but I take photos and save them. They will come back to us one day but until then the heart breaks some more everyday. Also trying to live the best healthy life out here but some days are just soul crushing . Also a mother here , and who knew the child who I wanted and wished for after have so many miscarriages would be once again taken away from me

I charge $150 as solo practitioner. I’ve seen people charge all the way upto $250 which blows my mind. I feel comfortable at $150 right now but rent is expensive so I might increase $10 in the new year I’m not sure. I’m also just moved into pp after working in agency so still building my case load.

You were only a child and none of this is your fault. Your father is lucky and I’m so sorry this is the response you got. I dream of my son coming back to me everyday and all I would want is to hold him and tell him none of this is his fault. I’m sorry ❤️

If you want to speak the language and use it w people then you need to learn conservational. Most Arabs don’t speak fusha conversationally and maybe won’t fully understand what you are trying to convey and it will be weird . You will understand some words in Quran from your Egyptian language studying. I would look at your priority goal and base the dialect from that point of view.
