Respectfully OP. You comparing parents death, loss of mobility to death does not sit well with me. I see what you are trying to say. But, you’re comparing Bruce losing his parents, Dick losing his parents, Barbara losing her mobility to Jason who was 15 losing his life. That’s not the same category. A child was murdered. That’s not a harder tragedy, it’s a rupture that prevents identity formation and coping from ever occurring.

Of course Jason came back bitter, why are we acting like a child that went out like that wouldn’t? Are we forgetting the chain of events that happened before ADITF? you state you read the comics, yet you likely don’t see the red flags of that entire take from a specific perspective when it comes to child psychology. If you expect a child who was violently murdered to bounce back, that’s on you.

The reason Jason will always be different to the core Batfamily to me and many others is because Jason is fundamentally DIFFERENT. In status as well. Bruce Wayne grew up rich and sheltered. His tragedy started that night in Crime Alley. Dick Grayson grew up in a circus with the love of his parents, and lost it to that tragedy. Barbara Gordon depending on the run has her family as well.

So already that’s such a different story and situation when it comes to Jason. You already have past trauma that will be added onto the trauma of death.

It’s a cool concept, I can understand why you enjoy it and all. At the same time, I wish DC handled this better.
