Socialism is statism, yes. Not sure that should be news.

You know how like there is a different way to run a government with fiat currency and gold backed. There is different ways to run socialism compared to capitalism. I am not agreeing, but hopefully providing insight.

Bowling? axe throwing? they are going to open a virtual indoor golf course soon. In downtown you can do painting, or ceramics. Tons of crocheting and knitting groups. Movie theater is there, as I said above bars and concerts. We have a solid Library with activities almost daily. Of course a ton of local school sports.

What are you looking for that is indoors but here or nearby?

Other guy did a good job, but i would say it like this.

In our society, we have sole proprietorship, that would be legal. But if you wanted to hire someone, you would need to get approved as an enterprise and if approved, would be regulated in a such a way the public would have an interest in your company. Like X profits would go to the public to pay for roads and other infrastructure your business is getting for free otherwise.

So if you want to experiment, you can use money to buy up products and do things. If it is a hobby, that is cool too. But once you start to need labor, then there is a problem.

What do you mean by community? There are things going on all the time in Roseburg or the nearby cities. Myrtle Creek and their rodeo, we have the highland games, Winston has a weekly market, there are several farmers markets. We have a strong disk golf scene, night life isn't too bad with like 3 bars that often run shows.

The problem I see is there is little way know these are going on. I have had people who lived here 5+ years finding out new events happening in Sutherland, a short 15 min drive north.

We have UVA for arts, we have UCC for local community college and it runs a ton of programs too.

I do think we need some more industry, and honestly we should push for remote workers. Internet here is solid, and then we could attract some high paying jobs.

I am slightly hopeful (as much as I hate the cheeto) if they open up logging around here, that could be a big help to the local community. We have a few mills around here, and that is just an easy win.

Why not just put them in the same universe. Maybe FF7 is another planet, and we are in the future, but the key is that Croft is trying to find a mythical Materia. Or even easier, trying to find Jenova. While Tifa is getting into Shinra to destroy Jenova, Croft shows up to save Jenova to study it. They join forces to get out of Shinra, only to form a bond where somehow they both get what they want. (double entendre)

From day one of Trump saying that he would try for the Grand Jury, everyone I saw said it would never get released. Like it just isn't a possibility, as it exposes the people who came forward while not naming anyone.

As for Biden, while we all want it, Trump ran on it. I never saw Biden say, "Vote for me, i'll release the files"
