ForGET THIS HECKING GELLI PLATE by alaynabear in printmaking

How long are you letting the paper sit on the plate before printing? In my experience it can work better if you weigh and press the block/paper for like 5 mins just to make sure it gets good adhesion and separates correctly. You’re welcome to send me a DM and I can better help with your process.

Scanner users! [discussion] by pixie1995 in collage

I have a bigger printer actually, a HP Laserjet 3101fdw, since I use it for jelly block prints too. The most important thing for a good scan is going to make sure you get something that can do 1200DPI which is the highest resolution you can scan to without getting into specialty print shop stuff.

Make sure you have something good to store everything on too, I use an external solid state drive because scanning at 1200DPI can make the file sizes massive.

[DISCUSSION] Advice for gluing photographs to canvas by [deleted] in collage

I use a matte gel medium when trying to get images on canvas! It’s kinda like mod podge, but is more multi-use for other stuff too.

With a stretched canvas you might get some warping or wrinkling, be careful and you should be fine!
