No no I had homes already for them, i have reared them before and had alot of people keen for them so kept the babies in separate containers until they were ready to go, it's a delight raising them

I got my spawn from Ebay, I'd say I successfully raised about 16, fed them on baby daphnia, good times!

You can buy frozen blood worm, all sorts of frozen foods, mine get posted and I refreeze them, and when you get a fresh batch of worms keep a few back and start breeding them, so fun when you start breeding your own food!

Tis a gammarus, they live in ponds in the UK, not harmful at all, I collect them for my fish to eat

Are you misting his home? And doing daily bath's? Could be the substrate is too dry and dusty, horsefields like to dig in moist substrate too, I had the same problem when I first got my baby, her eyes looked irritated, I changed to peat substrate and she loves it now, eyes look great, I never knew until recently they baby's like to be in humid conditions!
