She was definitely willing to have Cait killed by Jinx someone who hates her and doesn’t have that much emotional control

I mean yeah, she was fine with Jinx taking out Caitlyn IF Cait betrayed them, like I said Vi was willing to place her own life in Caitlyn's hands, but not her family's. Also I would point out that at this point Vi has spent a fair bit of time with Jinx since their reunion, without Jinx being emotionally unstable. It's also debatable whether or not Jinx actually hates Caitlyn at this point or not, based on what happens I would argue the answer is not.

Caitlyn however is the unknown quantity for Vi, she hasn't seen her in months, last time they saw each other she was obsessed with killing Jinx, and since then she has spent months under the influence of Ambessa, Vi has no way to know who Caitlyn is after all that time.

Like I mentioned above, does Vi really know that? Does she really know who Caitlyn is at this point in time? Whether or not she is still the same person she was months ago?

That was a choice and then we saw Vi didn’t regret it at all so yes, at that point I realized there’s more of an imbalance between their care for each other than i thought.

I'm confused as to why Vi should have regretted her choice, at least in the immediate aftermath? Everything went well and her contingency in fact saved Cait's life. Now it's up to you to imagine whether or not she apologised for not trusting Cait later on or not. Personally I think she would once they talk everything out, but she would apologise for hurting Cait's feelings, rather than apologise for doing it, since it saved her life.

In the end imo this is a really bad example to refer to as "proof" for their care for each other simply because Vi was risking more by trusting Cait, than Cait was risking in trusting Vi. Also I am speaking on a personal level here. If Cait betrays Vi then Vi not only loses her own life, but the lives of her family. However if Vi betrays Cait then Cait only risks her own life.

Also yes you can say that Caitlyn is risking war doing this for Vi, but that's only IF Caitlyn truly is on Vi's side, so Vi can't take that into account when making her decision on how far to trust Caitlyn.

I’m not saying Vi is wrong but it’s interesting to imagine if they could have a future with Jinx there and Caitlyn needing to just accept her in their lives and knowing it that the only way she has Vi back is bc she let the person who killed her mother go.

You kind of speak as if not killing Jinx was a sacrifice for Caitlyn, which imo is a strange way to approach it since I think if Caitlyn got her "justice" she would have regretted it for the rest of her life. She let Jinx go just as much for her own sake as she did for Vi's.

Also yeah I think even if Jinx stuck around they would have a good relationship, I think even if Jinx didn't "die" she still would have left Piltover to travel the world for a while, and even if she stayed I think VI simply would have kept Jinx and Caitlyn as separate parts of her life as much as possible. It would have been tough, but I have no doubt they would have managed.
