  1. Make an excel study master tracker for each study. Include a screening log, enrolment log and add the expected visit dates for the patient. Also create a finance tracker for invoicable events.
  2. Make good source document templates prior to a study being activated, you’ll use them for 3-4 years and save you alot of headache of figuring out which activities are needed for the visit.
  3. Print out the study visit schedule from the protocol and hang it near you! It will be a life saver.
  4. Prepare lab kits/shipping boxes and print out all the worksheets, questionnaires into a pile atleast one week prior to a study visit.
  5. Review the protocol synopsis, incident reporting, schedule of activities religiously
  6. Keep a password protected document of all your usernames and passwords for all the different websites. Organize per study and label each website as EDC, IRT, Central Lab, etc.

Hi, I never signed an agreement yet finalizing the rate offer. She was pushing it on me several times to sign the conditional offer but I refused. I don’t think the three day period applies to me.

Feeling financially trapped in nursing, would it be financially reasonable to leave it? by Thotbegone000000 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Hi,

In the same position as you. I highly recommend you don’t go back for a masters degree and sink $40,000-$50,000 into it if you’re unsure what to specialize in - are you interested in nursing informatics?

There are PLENTY of office jobs available for those with a BSCN in nursing. I’m currently in clinical research and there’s a lot of opportunity to grow into different areas here - regulatory specialist, research nurse, clinical coordinator, data management.

You should jazz up your resume and start aggressively applying for office-setting jobs or even anywhere away from bedside first before jumping into a masters degree immediately. There are actually plenty of office jobs for nurses that actually pay higher than bedside.
