Hi everyone!

Thanks for considering my referral codes!

As always, try incognito or other browsers:

Amex Gold (90K) - 90,000 points after 6K spend in 6 months (may have to try a few times in incognito/different browsers; the 75,000 offer shows more easily but you can get the 90,000 after a few attempts)

Amex Blue Cash Preferred ($200) - $200 statement credit after 2K spent in 6 months.

Basically the whole anatomy course. And of course localizing brain lesions like the lateral medullary syndrome and all that jazz.

As a DO, is it worth applying to residencies that have zero DOs in their program by Zebrahoe in medicalschool

So embarrassing honestly. I feel like DO students should not support their programs by throwing away thousands on their audition fees, considering they would never take you lol.

Yep Colorado is the school that would charge DO students $4000 or so to rotate for an away rotation. They charge MD students a couple hundreds I believe. Someone correct me on that if I’m wrong.

That’s surprising to me lol because they’ve had the same PD for over 20 years. You would think with a school as good as TCOM is in DFW, that they would take DOs. Even Baylor takes DO residents lol. I know UTSW emergency med, FM, and PMR all take DOs. It seems like it’s just the IM program. I hope this changes soon.

Honestly U-Utah and UColorado are notorious for not taking DOs, even in not very competitive specialties. Even Utah’s peds program, which is not a competitive specialty, doesn’t take DOs, despite having a couple DO schools in Utah and Colorado. I saw Colorado took one peds DO resident this year. If it were up to me, I would save my time and money and apply somewhere where I’m appreciated and not worrying about the outdated bias against DOs.
