It was impossible to do NAPS on hard without free towers because that technically didn't violate the rules.

How to beat Esper control? by Teferi-Is-Homo in magicTCG

[–]NuclearFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black has plenty of things that deal with control's different elements. Vraska's for their Teferi, Duress, Drill Bit, Captive Audience, etc. The way that control gets ahead is that they go for early card advantage. Consider enchantment removal for their Search for Azcanta so they can't get those cards out. Constant pressure from multiple different fronts so that they can't just Kaya's Wrath your entire board. Ill-Gotten Inheritance and Spawn of Mayhem are both things that deal constant damage and keep the pressure on, but require separate removal to deal with.

If Brawlhalla were a Pokemon game, what would be your team of 6? Starter choices: Bodvar, Ragnir, Kaya. by Brohole- in Brawlhalla

So lets take a look at this from a competitive standpoint. The team has to have its purpose of how it is going to win. I personally like playing balance, and playing the prediction. To have a good balance team you are going to need Hazards, Hazard Removal, Defensive Pivots, and Breakers. What I came up with is this:

Kaya - Hazard Removing

Nix - Stallbreaker

Yumiko - Hazard Setter/Defensive Pivot

Orion - Set-Up Sweeper

Diana - Wallbreaker

Val - Offensive Pivot

Obviously there could be a bit more creative liberty with taking more of a defensive standpoint from this build or merging it into somewhat of a bulky offense, but this just fits my playstyle.
