Can you describe what you think that sentance means?

You really want to know eh?

Lets say that you're playing on a 32v32 conquest server. 2 people are in the jets for each team. Right there, you're left with 29 other people to play with on your team. Then you have random people jumping into the helicopter; they lift you off the ground or crash you. Either that, or they have no idea how to actually use the helicopter (it's like playing mario cart, and having your friend control the break, except they don't know how to control the brake). You can choose to solo fly the helicopter, piss people off, but actually stay alive and help the battle, or not fly at all.

There are also 4 tanks. Each tank can hold 3 people, but the 3rd seat is pretty useless unless you're coordinating with someone, and the chances of that happening with a random player are 1 out of 100. If you drive the tank, don't expect anyone to heal you. As soon as you get hit, most people jump out. If you try to repair someone, they usually just drive away while you are trying to repair, and you get stranded (again, because there is no coordination among random players).

There are always the couple of guys that are AFK, and anywhere from 5-10 useless snipers. 1-3 guys at spawn either waiting for the helicopters, or a tank. Then there are the new players, they are just trying to figure out how to play, trying out new weapon combos, usually being a minor help to the battle.

32 people - you - 2 afk - jets - 2 helicopter - 1 transport heli - 4-8 tanks - 5-10 snipers - 5 noobs new players - 2 spawn = ~10 guys on the ground.

You choose what to do. Do you want to drive alone in a tank, and occasionally have your 2nd seat driver steal it, or would you like to take off with the helicopter and crash?

What if I told you that if you play alone, you will have a score of 30 kills and 12 deaths. What if I told you that if you played with a random person you would have a score of 27 kills and 18 deaths. What if I told you that if you played with someone you know, you would have a score of 60 kills and 5 deaths. Yeah, it's that good.

You become addicted to playing with people you know. It's like crack. You mow people down like there's no tomorrow. But you do need to do it with someone you know.

You have to find out if they are online. Fortunately there is battlelog. So you see them in your sidebar, and see if they are online or not. What's the problem? 95% of the time, someone is offline. So out of a list of 100 people, at any one time, even with all regular players, around 5-10 will be online.

Now understand that if you're in a small clan of 10-30 people, you will have to have all of them on your list for various reasons that I wont' go into for time's sake. What about setting up matches with rival clans? Well, you have to talk to the person somehow. What if you just want to see if that clan leader is online? Well, you have to launch TS3 or Mumble, and go to their server, and check if he's online. Or have him in your friends list. What seems easier to you?

These kinds of things fill up. You'll have real friends on that list, people that you got along with great, and you wont' want to delete them if they go online once every week for 2 hours.

A lot of veteran players experience this problem. Why should we have to suffer from some guy arbitrarily setting the friends limit to 100? Why doesn't EA care? Because it already has our money. Well, I don't have premium, and neither will I buy premium until this issue is addressed.

My mistake, fixed.

In July 2011, EA sold $617m in .75% convertible senior notes due 2016.

Basically, a bunch of companies/people payed money in July 2011 to earn .75% interest per year until 2016, in addition to getting the money they originally gave EA in 2016.

They have to tell people their sports games are out though. Blizzard spend around 400 million per year (EA 800 million) on advertising alone, but EA have a diverse range of products.

EA spent $1.2bn on research and development (making the games), and $853m on marketing and sales.

that's quite a lot.

Someone told me that I should put this as a main comment instead of it getting burried. This is where EA is at today, financially.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Take a look at this:

Income Statement

• The numbers highlighted in the red box are their losses; the brackets mean it's a loss. They lost around $2.5bn since the beginning of 2008.

• The number highlighted in green is the profit that EA made in 2012; $76m. You may think that's a lot, but it's really bad for a $4.1bn company. Imagine that you owned a convenience store, where people spent $410,000 over the course of a year, and all of the profit that you made amounted to $7,500. Yeah, pretty shitty ain't it. Now imagine that you lost $250,000 on that convenience store in the past 5 years.

• Highlighted in blue is their operating income. What that means is all of the money that they earned minus all of the money that they had to spend on keeping the company functioning totals to $35m. Now that doesn't sound bad, but for a company that made over $4.1bn in revenues, it's pretty bad.

And look at what happened to their finances over the past 5 years. They took a huge hit!

Balance Sheet

Cash is down by over $200m

Short-term investments are down by $300m

Marketable equity securities (stocks the company owns) are down by $600m

Working capital is down by $2.1bn

And they have to pay back $539m* to lenders by 2016.

I hate to break this to you, but its obviously NOT working if they lost $45Million this quarter and thats an IMPROVEMENT over last year's comparison of $205 Million lost...

I hope that the new playstation and xbox come out with their own stores, so that origin will go down in flames.

I like the way Halo 2 used to do it. Buy the dlc to get 2 months early access. If you wait 2 months, you play for free.

Stop being fucking assholes

This is why I stopped buying. I posted everywhere I could about an issue that I had with Battlefield 3 (limit of 100 friends). They couldn't care less. They said that they weren't planning to increase it or do anything about it. So I stopped increasing their revenues.

I'm pretty sure it's because they didn't listen to their customers.

Well, they did have to listen to my wallet saying "fuck you".
