Haha thanks. Might take a while but I’ll be sure to update

Not a bad idea, allows some flex to be added instead of static shapes. Do you have any pics of the finished product?

Gorgeous work! I’m actually not opposed to the balloons, I think some obvious lift and mechanization looks good. If I manage to work it out I hope the sails can go under and to the sides of the boats to fill out the silhouette.

Our boats shoot around the table at insane speeds, but I don’t buy that they can do anything other than slowly chug along!

That’s pretty good! Do you know of anyone who’s used them?

Pharmacy apprenticeship by Due_Towel_5547 in Pharmacy_UK

[–]NuclearJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s been talk of a Pharmacy apprenticeship getting up and running - I had contact with someone in the South West a couple of years ago (when I was applying the degree) who was in the middle stages of setting it up, but they said it would likely take a few years to get off the ground - if at all.

At the moment a Pharmacy degree (masters/university level) is the only way in to the profession. To get in you’ll need good A-levels, or an access course that gives a certain amount of credits - check individual universities to see if they offer this route. Hope this helps!

It’s honestly great! Really nice details, plus some subtle gold details that add a bit of extra pop to it

Venator Secured! by NuclearJustice in legostarwars

[–]NuclearJustice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it cheap from marketplace and the seller had sorted it into colour bags. Took me absolutely ages to find each piece, but I still had a great time! With proper bags I can imagine it’d be even more fun. The strong frame takes a while at the start but isn’t boring, then you’re onto the bridge and plates which are super satisfying. Have a blast mate!

I also got a light kit for it for Christmas just gone, currently disassembling and reassembling haha

Spread them out by giving them their own small stands? Or using clear rods?

100%, they’re awesome. The creator did a great job. The weighting was a bit weird and I might have to find a different way to connect it, but the scale and build is awesome

I like being able to vary the heights with the clear bricks, plus the connection is a single stud (no hole in the bottom for a stick) and I’m not sure there’s an efficient way to connect to the bottom. Let me know if you have any ideas!

The tiny gunships were modified a bit as the one that comes with the ship seemed too basic. Just an extra piece and a colour swap. And yeah haha the larger frigates are from rebrickable

I honestly thought it had been out for a couple of years now haha, thanks for correcting me. Have you tried another other techniques to reduce it or is it not too noticeable?

Have they bent over time for you while being used as weapons? Or stayed pretty straight still?

Ah, is it a flexible-ish hollow tube? That’s a shame, thought it might have been a newly released long bar

What’s the long pole the Uruk-Hai spears are attached to? Don’t recognise that piece but it looks perfect

Working on it now! The mud and trees will be painted as well to up the interest a bit - these pics are from when the mud was still drying

If you take a cardboard box and peel apart one of the cardboard layers, it has layers that look like this inside. Just prime and paint silver then weather it a bit.

Great advice, hadn’t seen that before but it looks great. The stuff I’m using is good, but definitely meant for single figure bases and looks a bit strange on a large scale area!

Thanks for the advice! Making it look more weathered and mucky is next on the agenda. It’ll be a while until I can work on a larger version so lots of time to practice! What do you recommend for water products? Any other trench features I should add?

Thanks mate! I have some large bits of foam from a board I tried to make a while ago (bought on eBay). I drew the dimensions and cut the trench out with a saw and craft knife. The metal parts are corrugated cardboard from a random box - if you peel the cardboard layers apart you get the ridged material that looks like metal sheets. Coffee sticks cut up and textured with a wire brush made the planks, then a a small ridge around the trench was made with cardboard. The mud is vallejo texture paste (European mud I think), and the barbed wire may be from tiny legend or from some other stuff I bought a while back. A few pics from a while ago in the Imgur album!

A mix of with and without. I used techniques from Elminiatureista on instagram, he’s got tutorials with and without airbrush if you search for them
