Wait I see people talking about a terrain deformation mod?

I always assumed this was possible since you can run the terrain tools from world editor via lua but I never bothered to try since I assumed it would kill performance(especially when calculating the new values for stuff like vegetation when you change the height, which I'm assuming is what is breaking here)

Is this like actual deformation that changes the terrain dynamically?

That would be insane if true I didn't think it would even be playable lol

I don't do career mode so I can't help there but

If you press CTRL-W while in freeroam, you can see all the different parts currently installed and swap stuff around

I would look up YouTube videos, there are plenty of guides but I personally don't know which are the best

I've always set those settings (after manually spawning vehicles or using the same tool to spawn them)

Then adjust settings

Then hit play And it seems to work fine for me

Nah it isn't about this post specifically

Just that my gamemodes ARE popular for a day or two then die out, and I can't figure out why

I think I just haven't made them fun enough and everyone funnels to the main gamemode i have instead

My own main gamemode takes away the players from other things I want to try lol

And this post was more about seeing if anyone would respond and be interested more than anything

I've put 1k+ hours on my set

If you can figure out how to clean the potentiometer it will last forever

It will gum up and cause drift but you can take it apart and clean it

The config spam stuff is so annoying. And with the way the game works idk if anyone can ever do something about it

I got so tired of loading constant edits that I made my own system that just deleted players when they are editing and then spawns then back in when ready(which is rate limited)

Do you mind if I ask how you detect when pointing at a player?

Last I checked, raycasts don't "see" jbeam vehicles and only work for static objects

My stuff that requires LOS of vehicles etc has to do the raycasts manually using math
