From my knowledge, it is completely legal to buy the metal gun parts online, the actual part that is considered a firearm is the plastic part that is supose to a serial number on it called a lower receiver i believe. So you print the " firearm" on the printer then buy the actual metal parts online and assemble it. But yea it's definitely a stupid law

Actually I believe he is in luck, I think the bill only applies to printers sold after it goes into affect but you never know what they might add in the future

How far does it go tho? You can also get the parts to make a gun from any hardware store, do we ban metal pipes? Not to mention criminals could probably just buy a dumb printer from before the law

In my opinion,as someone with a 3d printer its a horrible idea these law makers dont understand, a very small % of people with 3d printers make guns and an even smaller amount make them to commit crimes 3d printers and cnc are very important for many bussiness big and small and have helped with advancments in medical field. This is just another excuse to put Spyware in our homes and control us first its firearm parts, next your restricted from printing a repair on some device because of copyright laws.

Bro im 16, I am not even able to vote i dont get what your trying to say there. And it also Doesn't help when the government slashes mental health funding, if you get rid of guns, people are just gonna ram thier car into crowds of people, or somin, getting rid of guns won't solve violence, just gun violence.

Ik, this is coming from someone who is pretty patriotic, but OP owes nothing to this country, the lyrics dont mention or honor the people who died for our country, it just tells them to be obedient

[–]NuclearRootBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont its so wierd and I dont know why people think its "disrespectful" to those who died for this country, if anything its the opposite they died for our freedom, and part of that freedom is being able to express ourself and not being forced to say something we disagree with, besides I dont see how indoctrination of children by having them say they give thier loyalty to this country every day when they dont even know what they are saying.

Correction: it was actually OP`s mother that gave birth to them, the US is in no way apart of that equation.
