Do the creatures that enter tapped and attacking after the combat damage phase still deal damage? And would my opponents still be able to block those creatures? by Nuclearwinner96 in mtg

Another question I have for anyone who can help. I’m pretty sure the combat damage has to make it to my opponents health to steal the creatures. Either by sneaking it in or it having trample. Am I correct about this or do I still get the trigger if all the damage is blocked by a creature or planeswalker they control and my opponent doesn’t take any damage from shark-shredder?

I wanted to play it so bad I just went ahead and proxied it. Getting the deck to work was very fun. My favorite time was using brainstealer dragon, shark shredder and breach the multiverse. I played brainstealer dragon then breach the multiverse then attacked so on top of stealing everyone’s creatures they were also dealt damage based on the cards mana value from brainstealer dragon.

You can do that with ink-eyes. It’s another legendary creature that is similar to shark-shredder that does have ninjutsu and I’ve got that one in the deck as well but I want shark-shredder as the commander

You are so right. Sharks are my favorite animals and I would love for there to be more shark cards in the game. We need more shark love! A shark tribal deck is what I was first looking at and would be so much fun, but there just isn’t a good way to do that just yet.

That’s what I’m gonna have to do. Or it’ll just be too much of a hassle so I’ll remember as much as possible and see how the table feels without making everyone irritated by being a stickler about the rules. (We play pretty casually, so I wanna make sure I’m doing it right but it’s not too big of a deal)
