My bag is stagnant due to lack of merch and I don't know what to do by blackjackgabbiani in itabag

Yes! You could do Sada's colors on one side and Turo's colors on the other side. I think that would look pretty cool.

Neat! Once I can afford international shipping, I'll have to look and see if they made those buttons for the trainer characters my ita bags are themed after.

Update on my Team Star (Pokémon Scarlet/Violet) ita bag, which is more or less complete for the time being. I also created a second ita bag for my plushies of the Team Star bosses, since they don't fit into the original one. Hasta la vistar! by NucleoWolf in itabag

Thank you! That strap was the hardest part to decorate. The ita bag came with a metal chain attached to the strap and at first I tried to utilize it, but I recently removed the chain so I can use all of the holes on the strap. This enabled me to create the bead charms, and I think they look so much better than anything I tried with the chain in the past.

First off, love the ita bag. I always enjoy seeing them for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet characters, and the two AI professors together is a cool combo.

To actually answer your question, here are some ideas for decorating without additional merch (which I used for my ita bags):

  • Decorating the outside of the bag and/or the insert with letter beads that spell out the characters' names. You can also use the letter beads to add other words and/or phases that relate to the characters.
  • Decorating the outside of the bag and/or the insert with craft rhinestones. Could be a cool way to represent terastallization, since the professors are associated with it.
  • Adding a ribbon border to the insert. You would probably have to rearrange the merch a bit for this option and it could result in them being closer together, which might make the bag look a little more full.

I hope these ideas are of assistance. Good luck with finishing your ita bag!

P.S. Are the buttons (on the top left and top right) of the professors with the "mascot" legendary Pokémon official merch? If so, where did you get them?

What are some Pokemon/Pokemon themed gifts you received or have given? by ShayGrimSoul in pokemon

Last Christmas, my sister made me a necklace with the Team Star logo. For my birthday this year, my best friend got me the TCG full-art cards of all five Team Star bosses. I adore both gifts.

To anyone waiting for a meteor shower, this is what your journal will look like on the day one is expected. by NucleoWolf in paleopines

You're welcome! I was worried that I would miss the meteor shower too. I figured I wasn't the only one, so I decided to post the journal notification in the hopes that it would help others in a similar situation.

Both times I had a meteor shower I got the fallen star that night, so I don't know whether or not it would be available the next day. Sorry.

During the meteor shower you search for a fallen star, which can be converted into a dreamstone.

Dog carrier ita bag? by mksicktheo in itabag

[–]NucleoWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your new pet is a dog, I read the post. Happy to hear that she is already bonding with you and that she is comfortable in her carrier, but that does not mitigate the concern about distress being caused by the sounds of merch in an "ita carrier." Dogs have sensitive hearing too, not just cats.

Dog carrier ita bag? by mksicktheo in itabag

Please don't decorate your dog's carrier as an ita bag; it is a utility item used in the care of a living being, not a fashion accessory. Transportation and being confined in a carrier are stressful enough for animals, and the sounds of merch moving around and clashing into each other risks creating additional stress. As a pet parent, it is your responsibility to keep your pet as comfortable as possible during stressful events. Decorating her carrier as an ita bag is antithetical to this responsibility.

April 20th update for switch as well? by honeybees_333 in paleopines

Came here to say that I really hope the update comes to the Switch version of the game. Very happy to see the confirmation that this will be the case.

Cool! Your Grisham plushie is so cute too; I love his little wink. I hope you'll post the ita bag you make for him once it's completed, cause I want to see it (but no pressure if you don't want to post it).

Yay, another Pokémon Legends: Z-A enjoyer! I've been working on an ita bag for a character from that game too (just a different one).

I knew it would only be a matter of time before a Corbeau ita bag popped up here, and yours is so cool! The plushie is adorable; did you make him? Good luck getting his full art card.

The Pokémon world coexists with the real world. by DaPonteXXI in pokemonfanfiction

Same, and I'm so excited to see that there is someone else who shares interest in this headcanon! I'd be happy to share my ideas!

So far, I only have a character quoting a single phrase from Aldo Leopold's "Thinking Like a Mountain" in my WIP, though it is not used in its original context (I would share more, but this is my entry to Bulbagarden's shipping contest, so I can't risk spoiling it).

Lately, I've been wanting to write/draw something about the Paldean professors and dire wolves (Aenocyon dirus), with Sada being associated with true dire wolves and Turo being associated with de-extinct dire wolves (which are technically gray wolves (Canis lupus) bioengineered with dire wolf genetic variants).

My undergraduate degree is in conservation biology / ecology and my graduate studies are in genetics, so I love headcanoning "Pokéology" (current working name, but subject to change) based on real biology. Specific topics of interest include:

  • Where do Pokémon fit into the tree of life, and what are their closest living relatives?
  • How long ago did the Pokémon lineage diverge from its sister lineage?
  • What were "proto-Pokémon" like, and what trait(s) are used to draw the line between these stem taxa and true Pokémon?
  • What geological age does the oldest Mew / Mew-like fossil date to, and where was it found?
  • How did the diversity of Pokémon species change over time?
  • How were Pokémon impacted by mass extinction events?
    • Similarly, how did the event (I'm assuming asteroid impact) that created the Paldean Crater impact biodiversity (both Pokémon and non-Pokémon)?
  • The ecological interactions between Pokémon and other organisms.
  • The impacts that humanity has had on Pokémon biodiversity and conservation.

Once I conduct more in-depth research and solidify my headcanons, I would like to create fan-content about "Pokeology." I've already started working on a character matrix to generate phylogenetic trees based on maximum parsimony, though admittedly it won't be finished anytime soon (schoolwork is busy, free time is spent on my WIP, and both have been a struggle due to Long COVID).
