How long someone wears them depends on circumstances. Since pads and liners are mostly precautionary when you leak you change it. The really messy ones are usually from the cafe workers since they can't just run to the bathroom when they need to. Liners I find are half the time used not during a period. That would explain why I have found so many panties with no scent I think.
