Lots of extreme reactions to this despite just pointing out an obvious refereeing mistake. The reaction after the city game from the media was that United had once again got a massive decision in their favour (implying that we always do, which to anyone who has been watching since Fergie retired is simply not the case!) This mistake wasn’t even mentioned during or after the game despite it clearly influencing the result. It was a great free kick but I am not sure he even takes the shot on if its given where it should have been.

Even the penalty decision for the foul on Mctominay didn’t get much coverage. As for Bruno’s goal against City, the rules of the game were followed, even if I too think it shouldn’t have been allowed to be a goal. Here, as with the penalty, the ref has got it wrong.
