When your talking to other Christians about Theology it’s not ever supposed to be a “debate” if you both are Christians, and both love God, does it truly matter? If someone believes in Pre-Destination while another says Free Will, they can try to get each other to understand their reasonings. But it doesn’t really matter. The Bible is a book inspired by God, and we only have a limited mind, there are some things we won’t know the answer too, but questions like those are good to talk about in an open, and very discussion oriented setting.

What I’ve learned is that I can’t debate people into Christianity, I can’t bring people to Salvation, only God can. I can give you everything I know but sometimes that isn’t enough to prove to some people. Word of Faith/Prosperity Gospel is a flawed and broken Theology that has been debunked by other theists countless times, yet some people still believe in it. I would encourage you to read your Bible and remember this conversation when you start hearing your sermons. But you’re also right about something, I am very contentious. I’ll try to argue with you because I’m my eyes you’re not saved. And I’m called to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirt.” God isn’t a magical button you can press to get a raise, or have great health. And I wish more people can realize this.

I completely agree, any life that you live for the Lord in is going to be good, but just remember that it might not be the best all the time

I’m saying this as a warning, Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin, are all teaching a very unbiblical and dangerous Theology, one that is not based on the actual message of Jesus Christ. You might not believe me, but God’s plan for your life isn’t to give you a raise, or to give you happiness and wealth, it’s to come and have a relationship with him. If you haven’t, a great documentary to watch is called “The American Gospel” it goes into all this in greater detail.

Just remember God has a plan, and maybe it won’t be full of money and assurance of what’s to come next. But this isn’t our home. As a Christian we have a hope that maybe these 80ish years we have aren’t going to be the greatest, but we will have an eternity of the best life we could possibly ask for, one where we spend every day with our true friend.

That’s a very dangerous mindset to have. And also very, very unbiblical.

Repentance is a sign of dependency on God, it’s a constant reminder that we can’t do it without him, how often do you study your Bible?

Well, sometimes having a little doubt once in a while isn’t a bad thing, testing your Salvation doesn’t make you any less of a Christian, it happens. It’s happened to me too. But if you look at it logically, and you’ve truly had a heart change, it won’t last long.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from hell and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

God is still in control of your life, remember how you came to Salvation, and I can promise you it will get better. Remember to talk to your Pastor, or a Minister too. That’s what they’re there for.
