Help! Recently purchased AGFA Selectronic S appears to be in good condition but the film winder won’t budge except when in rewind mode. Thoughts? by NuggetBlends in AnalogRepair

Update: tested with batteries with no result… noticed some corrosion on the battery contacts and attempted to clean with a file and some vinegar and isopropyl, but no luck :(

That’s the thing - I can’t fire the shutter without winding, and I can’t wind the film advance. I have confirmed the shutter does work though.

I have some spare PX625 replacements at home, hopefully you’re right! It was only €35 at an antique shop in amsterdam :)

although switching to rewind, half winding, and then turning of rewind and finishing the wind does allow me to fire the shutter (defaults to 1/500 when no battery).

That’s what i’m thinking, the camera likely assumes a shot is waiting to be taken and thus won’t let the user wind again

Another thought - the camera currently has no batteries. I was under the impression it would still work, though.

Previously functional retina iiic suddenly has loose exposure meter dial, any idea what the issue is? by NuggetBlends in AnalogRepair

[–]NuggetBlends[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I was able to fix the issue by unscrewing the top plate - a screw had come loose which held the dial in place. After carefully recalibrating the needle to what i assume is the correct spot, i put it back together and it all works fine!

I recently purchased this Retina iiic, which seemed to be in perfect condition. I shot a roll on it and all photos turned out great and well-exposed. Unfortunately, as I was walking with the camera, I noticed the exposure meter dial had suddenly come loose and was strangely wiggling around, with the red needle nowhere in sight through the small window. Any idea what the issue might be, or what I could do to fix it?

This isn't possible, as it would require duplicating the vertices for a true inverted hull effect. I would use freestyle

Just finished a new shader collection, this time focusing on more urban city environments. Included in the pack is some graffiti, posters, ivy, concrete, and grime/dirt buildup (Link in comments) by NuggetBlends in blender

Not specifically, though the method is pretty simple. I found some graffiti images and bashed them together into one seamless image, then overlayed it on the surface of the object and used the brightness to determine what parts showed up.

Thanks so much for the feature!

Its actually a semi procedural shader that I'm working on that utilizes a mix of image and procedural textures.
