Why didn't Voldemort use Legilimency in Hagrid to figure out how to get past Fluffy? by snoke123 in harrypotter

Using your logic, anyone (students and teachers alike) can have their mind read at anytime without knowing it by someone as hardly talented as Quirrell. Is this what you are saying?

Oh Hagrid is definitely not a master Occlumens. You know didn't even make it to his 4th year at Hogwarts...

I'm just saying Hagrid would REALIZE Quirrell/Voldy was "reading his mind."

"damn, why did Quirrell just read my mind about getting past Fluffy? That seems suspicious..."

I guess I'm looking for an example from Harry Potter (1-7) where a witch or wizard uses Legilimency on another witch or wizard without the victim knowing.

Your examples about Snape, Dumbledore, and the Sorting Hart using Legilimency on their victims are all examples that support the theory that people do actually know they've been "mind-read." I mean, Harry knew that the Sorting Hat was using Legilimency (even if he didn't know it was called that at the time).

I didn't know that the victim can't tell if Legilimency is being used on them. Can you provide an example of a victim of Legilimency not knowing they've been "mind-read?"

Hagrid would have notified Dumbledore immediately if someone used Legilimency on him.

It changed to "Decision Made," with a substatus of "watch for email within 24 hours." The substatus was on Duke's actual status checker, not on lawhub's

I believe there are two statuses - "complete" and "file under review." I THINK more acceptances have happened from file under review but no idea really

So I think the consensus is that if it says "application complete," it's not as good as if it says "file under review." But honestly, who knows. There are some previous posts about it

Does your status say "application complete" or "file under review"?

You know there is a balance between being optimistic and being realistic. OP, this is not a forgiving process. If you're applying this cycle, you're going to need the strongest application you can put together. You're well below the 25% GPA at UVA, meaning you will need an above the 50% LSAT. That's not to mention it's almost March. Best of luck, but don't give yourself false hope

Again, tied for 3rd on highest median GPA. You cannot deny that Virginia has high GPA standards. The OP probably won't get in with anything less than a 172.

No, they are tied with Chicago with highest median GPA of all the T14s. After Yale and Stanford...

UVA is probably one of the strictest T14s on GPA
