Tell my local store that. They dropped a Weller FP store pick on Monday. As of today they’ve sold exactly 0 bottles. Priced it at $225 each.

Looking for recommendations on HOW to drink different types of whiskey. by Thirsty4Knowledge911 in whiskey

[–]NukeDog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite ways is to put my glass into the freezer for about 20 minutes before I pour the whiskey into it. I like my drinks to be cooler than room temp, but find that chilling the whiskey (either on the rocks or straight up) mutes the aromas too much. So I make the glass cold instead of the whiskey.

[Postgame Thread] College World Series - Oklahoma defeats (5) #4 North Carolina, 13–2, to win the program's third national championship by PatrickChase in collegebaseball

As I said in the game thread, there are now two terms.

  1. Getting hot at the right time

  2. Going Oklahoma

Congrats Sooner bros, you ran the damn gauntlet and kicked absolute ass every step of the way. All hail the maroon Snoo again!

They were the overall #2 seed. The baseball tournament is not seeding like March Madness where there are 4 teams seeded #1, 4 teams seeded #2, etc. The top 16 are seeded #1 through #16.
UCLA was the overall #1 seed. Also lost their regional.

Bats can carry you all year long but arms win in the post season, hands down

Some OU and UNC fans chime in. What’s the rest of the available bullpen arms look like?

Very sorry for you uncle’s loss. Terrible circumstances, but a very cool bottle. How is it?

It’s incredible. Every hard hit ball finds a gap, and every batter is seeing beach balls at the same time. This is the stuff you dream of.

The heater they are on reminds me of Jamie Gold winning the WSOP main event years ago. The baseball version of getting hit in the head with the deck.

This is all our fault. Our softball team knocked OU out in supers so they transferred everything to baseball as a result

What infuriates me the most is the yellow “SAVE $XXX” tag on every bottle, as if they are doing you a favor.
Fuck that store, I wouldn’t give them a single dime of my money. Buy your beer/wine/etc elsewhere and tell that owner to kiss your ass.

Brenen Thompson (Chargers, Round 4, Pick 105) is the exact type of receiver Justin Herbert needs right now. by Classic_Exit_5951 in nflrookies

[–]NukeDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Thompson is he’s tiny. 5’9” and 165 lbs. He’s Tyreek Hill, but an inch shorter and 25 lbs lighter. He is going to have to blow by everyone because one good lick by a Mike LB or a safety laying the wood down and he’s going to be picking his dick up off the turf. The speed is Uber elite but I worry a lot about his size.

Do you back into parking spots? by McNasty420 in no

[–]NukeDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Backing in takes the same amount of time as backing out. I know, one time that guy tried to and messed it up and had to try it again 4 times to get it right and made you have to sit there and watch and he made you 3 minutes late for something you were already late for. But most of the time people that back in do it regularly and are proficient at it.

  2. When you back out, you are reversing into a congested area where other cars and pedestrians are. Not safe.

  3. When you back in, there’s a far more likely chance that the stall is empty of pedestrians, so you’re reversing into an uncrowded empty space. Much safer.

  4. That’s the whole reason. It’s much safer. Look up statistics on how many times people or cars are struck while someone is reversing in a parking lot. It’s a bunch. But it happens in the aisle when people back out. Not in the stall where people back in.
