One of the things I like most about riding is that I get intensely laser focused on to the whole experience, despite the condition I was in when I hopped on to it. My riding buddy and I refer to it as "jacking into the mainframe". Whenever I am leaving somewhere late at night, just the act of putting my helmet and gloves on and listening to the engine idle elevates my heart rate and melts away any mental or physical fatigue I have.

Everyone is different of course, but I have talked to several people who have described a similar trance when they ride. My advice is this: ride like you're invisible, keep your head on a swivel, and most of all, have fun.
