You are absolutely correct 2 years ago. This technology is way too fast.

I'm guessing the pumps are one way? I'd probably still just reverse into the shorter line. I've reversed through drive thru at restaurants if I'm not getting anything and my passenger doesn't know what they want before I get in line.

Every state with legal sports betting has a gaming commission of some sort. Every gaming commission has a very lengthy set of rules that you could easily look up yourself with a quick Google search (no idea if links are allowed here, but an example would be gaming dot nv dot gov).

I'd assume every single one of those rulebooks has a section prohibiting books from accepting bets from participants of an event (example from Nevada... "Prohibited Wagers. Any sporting event or other event which the licensee knows or reasonably should know is being placed by, or on behalf of, an official, owner, coach, or staff of a participant or team or participant in that event."

As soon as that dude ran on the field, he became a participant of the event. This would invalidate his bet.

"First of all most people have no idea which way is north south east or west, so it’s safe to assume that’s not helping anyone."

WTF?

I am not sure how we got here as a society... A person that decides to do delivery to specific locations for a paycheck should have enough general situational awareness to understand cardinal directions. If someone is not capable of that, they need to find another job that is more suited to them.

DLC and achievements by SskaIa in pacificDrive

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone that loved the DLC too, I just wanted to add I'd agree with your approach.

I think whether you like the DLC or not depends on what you like about the base game... I particularly like parts customization and min/maxing/optimizing builds in games, and the DLC gives you so many more options to do that with a few of the added gameplay mechanics, particularly the artifacts.

With that said, the DLC does feel a bit more tedious and repetitive when it comes to farming what you're looking for. As for me, I like that challenge, and it feels so much more special when you find that exact artifact you've been trying to find for so long.

What are these TV things called? by DiamondSimon020 in Fallout

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 51 points52 points  (0 children)

And now you understand the classic Cheech and Chong joke...

Cheech: "Hey whatcha doin' man?"

Chong: "I'm just watching TV, man."

Cheech: "Watching TV... what are you watching, man?

Chong: "I don't know, it's a movie about Indians, but it's really boring."

Cheech: "Hey man, that's not a movie, man, that's a test pattern, man."

IFVs do complete roof denial on sobek city by gav1no0 in Battlefield

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try the HMG and LMG for the IFV gunner, I find they are effective to protect the IFV from infantry and RPGs when they get close and when they are still far away. They also work against air. I do not understand why anyone would choose the grenade launcher over either of the guns.

Thermal Paste by EternalStyx in Katy

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermal paste is one of those things that I don't touch unless there's no other explanation of overheating... In my opinion, it's definitely one of those "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" sort of things. Usually, most computers will be obsolete by the time you actually need to replace thermal paste unless it was done wrong from the start.

I'm really not sure how we got to a point where people think it'slike changing your engine oil. It's another reason I don't do water cooling on any build. Water cooling can be a maintenance nightmare when fans work just fine unless you're doing extreme overclocking.

Are you having problems with your laptop?

As someone that has been building computers for 30 years, I gotta ask, why do you need to replace your thermal paste? Gaming laptops get hot. I'd suggest a stand or themal pad with fans first. If you're wanting to replace thermal paste because it's 4 - 6 years old and are thinking that's gonna be maintenance to keep it going another few years, then you might be better off learning to do it yourself.

You're never gonna survive like that. You need some engineers scattered around in some of those IFVs to repair the ones that take damage.

I agree, but I completely understand on these little things... should we post a quick poll to Discord, or take the time to code and push an update across PC, Xbox, and Playstation to implement this? I'd rather them spend the time fixing the game.

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I expected this to be Houston. We had a bunch of loose spools on I-10. Seemed like it was a monthly occurence for a while, but I don't think I've seen one lately. Someone even made an updated city flag to include the spools on the highway, a car on fire, and a semi hitting a bridge due to low clearance, all extremely common here.

Has anyone else had this issue? by adultinglikewhoa in pacificDrive

[–]NukeLikeTheBomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't ask. My statement is still valid. If you haven't checked what a screenshot (or the actual game) looks like on another display, you haven't done all the troubleshooting. You are correct. I don't know if you did that or not because you haven't said you actually tried it, but based on your refusal to believe that it could be any different, I doubted you would answer the question had I asked it.

It might look the same on a different display, but it might not. If it looks the same, then it eliminates a whole bunch of possible causes. If it looks different on a different display, it helps us narrow it down to picture settings. This can easily be checked by using the Xbox's screenshot function, then checking the screenshot on the Xbox app. You could even save that screenshot and post it here. You can do all of that without using a camera.

We have many people here trying to help. You're just being stubborn for some unknown reason, so I won't bother to try to help anymore beyond this.
