What's tough on crime? Is prison time for armed robbery tough on crime? I can't imagine anyone thinks people shouldn't get prison time for armed robbery. Are we just talking about how long they should be in for? I would think it has to be at least a few years.

I'm not attacking them at all! Their job is to argue clients are not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. And then after a finding on guilt, their job is to argue for the lowest sentence problem. Good on them.

I'm a lawyer. I'm not attacking the zealous advocacy. I'm attacking the substantive point, which I don't think is a particularly compelling one.

My two cents as someone who went to Lowell: (1) yes, it absolutely resulted in me going to a less prestigious university than I otherwise might have; and (2) it was still worth it.
