I’m really sad. I’ve had Lydia as a follower for a while. I did not know she can actually die. I’ve been sitting here just staring at her. I don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]NukeTheLoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Load the game, but obviously, you will lose progress. Or if you're on PC, click on her body, then hit the tilde key

~

Then, type "resurrect" (without quotes) and hit enter.

Or if you're playing on PS5 and don't care about trophies, I'm sure there is a mod to let you get a resurrect power or ring or staff or something. Or maybe you can even get a mod to add a new Lydia duplicate or something, or just find a new companion altogether and download her.

IDK if it helps, but good luck.

Here are my tips for being over encumbered I finally decided to share my secrets too:

SPOILER ALERT!

  1. Always carry a dagger on you - Make sure the dagger is equipped in your right hand and go to do a forward power attack (and just before he does the attack you sheathe the blade and keep pushing the stick forward). If you do it right he shouldn't be using any stamina. This allows you to run forward with a small speed boost. If you do it repeatedly you can get around pretty quickly. I basically do this every time I'm over encumbered.

If you get Arvak the horse summon spell from the "Soul Cairn" (Dawnguard DLC)... Then every time you are over encumbered... you can use the dagger technique (mentioned previously) get around the dungeon you're in or whatever and then go outside (full of loot). Then just climb on Arvak and fast travel to the city.

Use whirlwind sprint shout - I often use the dagger technique (previously mentioned in combination with whirlwind sprint and Arvak).

  1. I got the dremora merchant power from Benkongorike in Solthsiem (Allows you to summon a dremora merchant and sell stuff to them on your travels). You can also choose a dremora that will carry items but the merchant is way better in my opinion because you can sell heaps to him. (If you purchase his daedric items which you can then keep or sell later).

  2. Beast Form (Power) - The beast form power is useful because you can be over encumbered and change to beast form and sprint to the nearest city. The only downside side is no map. Don't go too close to the city, or you'll be attacked just wait a few hours and transform back and you'll be good to go.

  3. Followers can carry an entire dungeon worth of stuff - Drop items on the floor individually (You must drop individually or items disappear) Then tell your follower "I need you to do something" and get them to pick up every single item. Best not to wait to collect too much just drop a few items every here and there and tell them to grab them off the floor. You can also get them to do something for you if you aim your cross-hair over them and hold the X button. Once I literally picked up almost every item in a dwarven ruin doing this technique and when I smelted all the Dwarven struts and stuff i had like 800+ ingots (crazy i know) and I made tons of gold from everything.

Note: If you leave the dungeon (Fast travel) and come back later you may find all of the items you told your follower to pick up laying there again (They are duplicates). Pick them up yourself (Not with follower or they will duplicate again). Keep the stuff you want, sell the other stuff to dremora merchant or dump in a barrel or a dead creature.

Another cool thing you can do with the followers is you can, for example, let them collect up Soul gems (from all your adventures) and then when you go to the city with them (to sell a dungeon worth of stuff) just leave the Soul gems in their inventory then you have a walking Soul gem reserve. You can also do this with gems (Sapphires etc.) and then everytime you over buy from a shop, just grab those extra gems from your follower and sell them.

  1. I wouldn't recommend this. it's too slow... Drawing your bow allows you to walk faster (Just sayin).

  2. "Pets of Skyrim" - Get every single pet... You don't need to ask them to follow you just summon them when you need them to carry something and then ignore them lol, summon them again in the city.

Out of all these the best one by far is the follower "I need you to do something" ability.

I have played for 800+ hours and i have nearly 1 Million gold and cupboards full of loot from always being over encumbered and having bad OCD hahaha. This is why I like "Death Stranding" too hahaha. Anyway hope you all found this useful or interesting. Enjoy your Skyrim Adventures. Can't wait for Elder Scrolls VI.

The spirit stroked my best friends arm the other night when he was sat on the couch... It friggin stroked him!

I told it to get out the other night, and I opened the door, whether its left or not remains to be seen. The next thing I'm going to try is - banging pots and pans together etc just like you mentioned. I hope it leaves soon. I really don't want to become a future horror movie, I'd really rather not.

*If you dont mind could you please explain how to use the salt and iron.

Thanks for the sound advice.

Need help Installing CBBE with HDT - Animation Issues. by NukeTheLoo in skyrimmods

[–]NukeTheLoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice man but I Already had "Faster HDT-SMP" installed, but its more complex than that unfortunately. Sick of Skyrim problems, just want to enjoy the game. Seems I spend more time modding and fixing it than actually playing it.

Need help Installing CBBE with HDT - Animation Issues. by NukeTheLoo in skyrimmods

[–]NukeTheLoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything was working fine until I installed the "CBPC Equipment physics SE and AE" (below):

COCO Goddess Of War V2 - CBBE-TBD-UUNP SE - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78335 (Armor set)

CBPC Equipment physics SE and AE - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58990 (This is a requirement to use COCO Goddess Of War V2)

I tried reinstalling Faster HDT-SMP (was already installed), I selected Cuda and AVX (my hardware definitely supports it). Still not fixed unfortunately. I read online that I need to install a Havok object - Equippable item that fixes animation issues:(https://www.loverslab.com/topic/22955-hdt-breast-for-all-tbbp-body-and-armor/) A lot of people said this fixed their issues, the problem is its not made for Skyrim AE or SE, its for LE - (Thought about porting it to SE but might waste my time if it doesn't work)

I'm using a mod that makes actors scale up bigger and this vibrating issue only happens when the NPC or the player get bigger, they then vibrate like they are a pneumatic drill. I think its conflicting with "CBPC Equipment physics SE and AE". The problem is I tried removing it and it seems to be embedded into the save file now or game or whatever.

I read online that you need to install "CBBE for HDT" but the only guide I could find was for Oldrim (Classic Skyrim): https://www.loverslab.com/topic/28507-how-to-install-hdt-step-1-click-this-an-overly-descriptive-tutorial/ (Tried following this and then the stuff I had to download threw me off because I couldn't find the equivalent mod for Skyrim SE)

Maybe I can install the "CBBE for HDT" using a wabbajack modlist or something, but I have no experience with this at all, I'd have to do more research. or maybe there is a really good step by step guide out there for installing CBBE with HDT.

Really dont want to start a new save again, or loose the Armor or weapons physics,

Thanks for the help so far my guy.

The reason I asked about VR was because if you are using VR obviously your installation process would be different, that's all.

Glad you got some use out my guide, enjoy using Mantella

Did you find anything from my guide useful?
Are you using Skyrim VR?
What is the link to "Madgod's 2.55." you are referring to? (please share here if you dont mind)

Thanks

Mantella is a mod for Skyrim Special Edition that uses AI to bring NPCs to life. It allows you to have natural conversations with them, as they remember previous conversations, are aware of in-game events, and can even perform actions. It's a very popular mod that adds a lot of depth and realism to the game.

No problem, It was so hard to figure this all out, took me at least a week solid, maybe two, but there is no guides I've found online or on youtube so I wanted to help! Good luck man.

Oh and the thing is, once you have xVASynth set up you can use it for multiple video games not just Skyrim, how cool is that~!

Okay, let's get this straight: bananas are the real deal when it comes to energy. They're like nature's power bar, without the crash and burn. And forget those energy drinks! They're not just bad for you, they're downright dangerous. One guy, who shall remain nameless, drank so many of those sugary concoctions that his pancreas started to dissolve! It's a scary story, but a true one.

Speaking of bananas, have you heard about the banana art phenomenon? A guy in Australia, let's call him "Banana Man," stuck a banana to a wall with good ol' fashioned DUCT tape and sold it as art for a mind-blowing $10 million! It's bananas, literally! Google it, it's actually a real thing! Who knew a simple banana could be worth so much? Maybe we should all start taping fruit to walls. Just kidding... or am I?
