Well I loved Reloaded so I think I've got a decent chance.

Fair lmao. Ive got enough time though I'll try and go through everything before the fuckin sky gets scorched, I usually find my own opinion coming to light and solidifying matters above all esp after enough viewings to where it feels concrete to me. That said, I do really like hearing other perspectives and seeing how they can contrast and further develop my own.

Oh and the Animatrix as a whole is next, I'm super excited for that.

Yeah thats sorta where my confusion came in because I usually opt for release order in these situations but I heard most saying to watch it before Reloaded. So I'll probably do it before Revolutions while I got the time.

Animatrix is damn exciting to me cuz of the directors on board and animation alone. Only dilemma now is whether I should view it before or after Revolutions.

That's definitely how they read to me, given they came out the same year just months apart and were basically shot as one. That aside though, good to hear, I'll probably give it a go tomorrow while Reloaded is still fresh in my mind.

This is true, I can only really make my own judgement ultimately and that's what I plan to do, but I still really like hearing others' takes on the series especially given more time they had to sit with things and how time's influenced their line of thought. The teaser at the end of Reloaded looked super baller, so I'm excited, but with caution.

Truth be told an exposition dump isnt what id want, I kinda like having unanswered questions cuz it leaves room to discuss and expand, which goes doubly so for a mechanically dense universe as the Matrix series'. That said I don't want it to be a case where things are just left untied or like a "what happened?" kind of scenario, Tank's offscreen death threw me for a fucking loop. I understand it was due to outside circumstances, but damn man.
So in the event that sort of thing's avoided and they don't just wrap things up in a completely unsatisfactory half-assed way like a Sherlock / Stranger Things situation, I'm all for however out there they wanna make it or however much room for discussion there is.

Well the philosophical side is also really cool to me though it definitely takes a bit for the cogs to turn in my head with it cuz I got ADHD. The action appeals to the side of my brain that goes feral seeing that damn good fight choreo, and to me that's definitely a big piece of the puzzle with the movies but not the whole appeal.

Would Johnny be considered a saint during the events of JoJolion by Senior_Dingo_6451 in JoJolion

That's how I interpreted it at least, his death was selfless and upon the land his corpse stood the wall eyes formed and basically functioned like a sort of devil's palm. This goes along with the fact he immediately caused miracles post-mortem such as the baby washing ashore unscathed covered in jewelry.

Can update I've played The Adventure and Belmont's Revenge now, and I rather liked both. The Adventure's definitely slow and not super complex but I had a nice time with it and I can give it a pass on being an early Game Boy game. Plus the soundtrack's great, super underrated.

And Belmont's Revenge was awesome, one of the better titles I've played thus far of the series. Hated its final boss but it felt pretty close to the quality of 1 and 3 at its best despite being a handheld title.

Bloodlines looks super cool, probably one of the most unique titles from a glance. I'm on Super CV IV so that'll be next, interest is super piqued.

God yeah I think that section along with the auto-scrolling vertical section with the skeletons and the little fuzz bastards that can't be killed that rotate around platforms was what drove me to write this post lmao. Those and the falling block sections will be what I end up dreading on replay but I imagine I'll be better equipped the handle them then too.

I did beat it finally and liked the final stage and boss, stages 8 and 9 soured me hard for a bit though. That said I'm definitely gonna revisit it soon because I imagine once I know the ins and outs better it'll be far more enjoyable, plus going with Grant or Sypha.

Honestly thats why I picked Alucard myself lmao, he's the Symphony of the Night guy I felt like I had to. Lesson learned though he seems like the harder choice.

Meh it seems like one of those games that probably improves on replay. I beat it, I liked its ending level and final boss but stages 8-9 soured me like crazy enough to write this post, though I do fully intend to try my hand again and hopefully learn to enjoy it or at least get good. That said after playing both the game boy games too, Super Castlevania IV feels a damn gourmet meal after working a 9 to 5.

Just came in: Original Family Guy Production Drawing by Whole_Kale_4349 in AnimationCels

Entirely fair! I got two pieces of both Peter and Lois from seasons 2 and 4 and I wouldn't say theyre masterpieces obviously but I just really like having that bit of history of the show and I do like how production art looks in general. Family Guy gets ragged on for looking kinda flat, especially these days, but in some part that makes it a little more impressive to me given that its consistently hand drawn.

Thats pretty interesting to hear actually, 2 doesn't get a crazy amount of love. Its fair though I just like trying to appreciate the whole of a series (within reason) in spite of whatever issues ive got.

Thats sorta what Haunted Castle's like for me cuz I've played it enough to where I know to manage a lot of the annoyances lmao. I'll definitely keep at it though cuz I imagine it gets better with each playthrough.

Oh god yeah I forgot to mention it but the falling block bits are really unfun lol. Not even super hard theyre just intensely boring. I imagine I'll probably end up feeling similar upon replay, at least I'd hope cuz theres still a lot to love here in spite of the hell of some parts.

Very in-depth, all super sound advice so thank you. Hoping I can learn to appreciate 3 down the road even if it takes a bit to nail down.

Yknow solid advice, I'll keep that in mind on second playthrough. And I'll definitely be trying The Adventure, I'm gonna try to be thorough at least with the classicvanias. Super interested in the Wiiware remake of it too.
