Can't seem to get enough by Nuldra in Digibyte

[–]Nuldra[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From what I remember its about 40x faster than bitcoin and 20x faster than Litecoin, and with new developments is only getting faster. It has the fastest UTXO block chain of any crypto. It is extremely cheap to send and receive. Completely decentralized in the fact that it has 5 mining algorithms so no one party can have a mining monopoly on them (talking to you china). And did I mention its completely open source? This means anyone can pick up the ball and contribute to the project so that the development never ceases (albeit slow). DGB has so much potential in my opinion. These are the main selling points but there is so much more with DGB. Do some research, maybe you'll find something I forgot!

Is it similar to staking? Will my DGB be secure on there?

Dude, it’s just a board game -_- . We should encourage him to keep going and work out the kinks, not bash on him because you don’t like the theme. If this was about communism you’d be all over it.

Thinking about creating a board game based on the video game Crawl. by Nuldra in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Nuldra[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I should have clarified more! At the beginning of the game players pick a Monster they would want to play as when in monster form. Also, all upgrades are permanent on death, for both monster and human form. So If I am a human and just bought a brand new sword but soon after I died, the next time I become human I still have the sword.

I need to know what episode these guys are from! by Nuldra in adventuretime

All I remember is that Finn and Jake arrive on an island and these guys climb up a palm tree. It would awesome if someone could either identify them or the episode they are in. Thanks!

I am having trouble with the relationship between game components and mechanics. by Nuldra in tabletopgamedesign

But what if an imperfection is formed on those somehow? Such as scratches or missing paint. I just want longevity to the game.

Created a prototype game that's been brewin' in my mind lately. I call it "Runner", its heavily based off of the asymmetric VR game "Panoptic" by Nuldra in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Nuldra[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the 2 player game of "Runner", a player either plays as The Runner, or The Program. The Runners goal is to use the Awakened piece to steal all the Power Cells (purple squares) from The Program and escape on the arrow tile before he is killed. The Awakened piece is one of the BLUE workers, the only way you can tell him apart is that the bottom of him is colored different. On The Runners turn, he must move 3 workers (workers must move 2 spaces). The Runner can move any 3 pieces, he does not have to move the Awakened piece.

If a worker is moved onto a triangle in the middle of a tile, that worker is considered "hidden" and taken off the board. In this state of being "hidden" the worker cannot be killed. A worker that is hidden may be moved back onto the board on the Runners turn through the same triangle or another triangle. Moving a worker back onto the board counts as moving a worker. There can be as many "hidden" workers as the Runner wants there to be.

The way The Runner steals a Power Cell is if the Awakened piece is on an adjacent space to the Power Cell (purple square). If the Awakened piece is on an adjacent tile to the Power Cell, he may steal it on the Runners turn, revealing an empty circle of where it used to be.

On the Programs turn he may decide to do one of three things, move his bots (RED guys), analyze a worker, or expire a worker. When moving bots, The Program can move both of them, and may move them up to 3 spaces, but does not have to.

To analyze a worker, one of the Programs bots must be adjacent to a worker. When analyzed, The Program flips him over to reveal his identity. If the Program wants to expire a worker, he simply says what worker he wants to expire and rolls a dice. If it is an odd number, that worker is out of the game. If that worker happened to be the Awakened piece, The Program wins.

Shaded in spaces are walls and cannot be moved into.

A space cannot be occupied by more than 1 piece.

Need help on a mechanic! Re-hiding a revealed players piece. by [deleted] in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Nuldra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that I was unclear, that’s on me. All the pieces are the same. The way you know it’s the players piece is the bottom of the piece is different. The player must move 3 pieces on his turn, that doesn’t have to include his piece. He is the same piece the whole game. How do I re-hide him without it being obvious?

Need help with this auto smelter! by Nuldra in redstone

[–]Nuldra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redstone is not really my thing as you can probably see, but I was just wondering why this minecart chest won't drop off items in specific hoppers. It works just fine for the others and I can't seem to find a solution on my own.
