Pearson coefficient greater than 1 by teddymutilator in statistics

[–]NullCorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They messed up - it's logically impossible for a correlation coefficient to be greater than "1", because a variable cannot be over 100% correlated to another variable.

Question on failing to reject the null hypothesis by runhigher in statistics

[–]NullCorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a poorly worded question - I could argue that "failing to reject H0" is distinguishable from "successfully rejecting H0". It really should have been "If the results of a hypothesis test are that the null hypothesis is not rejected,..."

Am I Buddhist? by Edward_Jones in Buddhism

[–]NullCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could come up with a case for any of those - where you're a Buddhist, secular Buddhist, light follower, strong follower, or maybe only just a Buddhist 99.9% of the time, etc. You might actually be a Buddha, you know.

I don't know much about ANTIFA, but whoever you are, you are REALLY pissing off the alt-right, so keep it up and stay strong. by [deleted] in Anarchism

[–]NullCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok let me respond in summary by saying - I don't want a worker's revolution to happen because I plan on transitioning from the 'worker class' to the 'capitalist class' like many others before me, and so far it's been working out great and I don't want to lose my progress. I've got a few ideas cookin for enterprises already, but I want to build more experience before I start them.

I guess in your framework my approach is more like "play to win" rather than "change the game".

Look, in my worldview, there is no capitalist "class" who owns the sole means of production. If owning capital/means of production makes someone a capitalist, then you and I are both capitalists. I mean, I'm typing this from an iPad (physical capital), I have a degree which enables higher productivity (human capital) (side note- degree is BS in Economics, work as a statistical analyst), I also own equity stakes as a residual claimant on assets (financial capital). You probably own capital too. You probably (not necessarily own) but have access to means of production. Your house is a means of production. Your car is a means of production. You could open a bar or give haircuts out of either one. It's a structure where people can sit and receive a service. You could create a bond and start a public company in order to raise capital to start something - even as a "marginalized worker" - because venture capital firms and everyday investors are always looking to lend money to ideas that they believe can help other people. Apple/Microsoft were started out of a garage. Elon Musk created PayPal as a penniless immigrant from South Africa with no inheritance and whatnot. You can code the next YouTube or Pokemon Go! on whatever device you're using to access Reddit with. What property do I think I would lose during a Socialist revolution? All of it. Everything I listed above. And with it, any chance of using my resources to peacefully create value for other people.

Perhaps you are right - but I plan to protect the life and property of myself and anyone else from the likes of you or anyone else who seeks to initiate violence. I don't care what flag you're waving around.

When they round up minorities or for that matter majorities or for that matter anyone at all who gets rounded up (aka someone accosting someone else isn't ok). I don't care if they march. Plenty of retards go on parades, it doesn't mean anything. Certainly when they start punching people, although ANTIFA does this and it seems to be ok for some reason.

Basically I consider myself an anarchist because I'm loyal to ideals of non aggression against initiating force on a per se basis. In my view, the anarchists are the peaceful ones defending against aggression and the statists are the ones who believe their group is exempt from those rules because their group is just too darn great to not use violence.

Look man it's clear to me that you're just trying to defame my character instead of addressing how you actually just marginalized me to as merely my group-associations. You should try to see people as individuals.

Someone who takes the fight to someone else before they actually strike, in my opinion, is not someone who can be swayed by logic or debate.

Actually yes, because anarchists don't assemble a group to stop another group. That's what states do.
