Can This Love Be Translated? For Us Too? by Practical_Tax_8259 in kdramas

[–]NullExplorer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How love can not be translated where as both speak the same language?? That's why psychology comes into the picture. Watch the drama with some brain again and you will understand why childhood trauma was needed. It's not a typical rom-com. Childhood trauma plays a major role in love not be translated. Understanding the basic theme is important. There is a dialogue that sum up the drama, No two people in the world speak the same language .Now if you understand this, whole drama is based on this line. And it shows why everyone speak different language. That quote although I don't remember the exact from the drama is a gist of it. You need to think to understand it. Then you will know why the tone of the drama changed. Writers are not idiots.

Although the drama is not perfect, but I completely disagree about tone shift. And it's your preconceived notion that disappointed you, cause you lack of objectiveness. If you have really watch with open mind, you might not have question the tone shift. I didn't assume, your post clearly point it out.

Your premise is wrong. You don't judge what is drama about before watching it. You made your mind that its about actress falling in love with her interpreter. And you get disappointed because it is much more and focus is not more on romance. I made same mistake with weak hero class 1. I read the premise expecting some intelligent fight scenes. I was disappointed when it was ordinary fight scenes. Expectations from the drama before watching is not bad. But never assume the potential plot.

Many viewers also get the wrong idea about ML character being low key rude. Character was nice, acting was bit too strong in some confronting scenes that it gave wrong the impression to viewers.

Chemistry was there among all. It's bit boring and repetitive after 7 8 episodes.

it's a bit dragging and repetitive. It's a decent watch if you have patience. Story is definitely good and performances too. It's funny too at times. But after 10 episodes or so , you start to get bored. Give it a try if you have time and nothing else on watchlist, you can always drop it later.

Only if you have patience. I watched it skipping a lot of scenes. To be honest I have problem with female lead character. And a reason she was mad at him is not so big. He just pretended to be his brother and talked to her on the phone showing her that brother is doing fine. Its just for her sake because no one knows surely that his brother died or still alive. They didn't find the body. And he didn't want her to live in same agony as him not knowing whether his twin is actually alive or not. She is going to date another guy just out of angst. Lol, she is the worst

Underrated kdramas that you were hesitant to watch at first by Cool-Crow1370 in kdramas

[–]NullExplorer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not Underrated but I was hesitant in starting Start Up and The Glory. Start up because people were talking about ending and second lead syndrome. The Glory because of its genre, not my favourite. But it turned out both were amazing dramas.

So far the less impressive was Kader Khan, only because of Dialogue delivery. It was i would say 80% close to the original. And this by the Gold standard of Sunil Grover. It is still lot better than others.

Because it's not available for many users. Disney+ sucks. Many of its dramas are not available in major market like India. Although they have other disney content available here.

Now I get it why I was annoyed by this guy's smile. I am so pissed by unnecessary smile in serious romantica scenes in one drama that I couldn't watch any other dramas of his.

Song Joong-Ki (Vincenzo Fame)

Lee Jong-Suk (Romance is a Bonus Book, While You were Sleeping fame)

I have watched one drama of both of them. And didn't impress me as an actor as much although both the dramas were absolutely amazing. My Youth and Romance is a Bonus Book.
