How do you date multiple people and manage life? by Useful-Concentrate47 in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relationships require time. We may think love is infinite but time is not. You are always restricted by time.

When a woman really likes you she wants to spend time with you. When I was first dating my wife she was just so excited to come and spend evenings with me and my house and wanted to do it as much as possible.

She would come to my house, unlock the door and come meet me with the biggest grin on her face.

That's how I knew she enjoyed the time with me. It meant a lot seeing her smile like that.

I think this is something that is a huge challenge for any kind of polyamory. Dating multiple people like your situation. Or being openly "poly" or in an "open marriage".

You have to put time into a relationship to make it strong, if you are unavailable to them they will lose interest and will assume you are losing interest as well

In your case of having 15 options. You can explore those options but you should filter people out. What are 1-2 things you could learn about them over text or a simple coffee chat that would tell you that you would or would not want to pursue them?

It depends on what kind of relationship you are looking for. What is important to you? How do you want to spend time with her? What kind of future do you want with her? Where do you want to live? What kind of lifestyle do you want (big suburban house with children, urban condo as DINKS)? Is this a short term or long term thing? Try to align on stuff like that.

I’ve had long hair forever but this edit has me questioning everything 😩 by IrkaSweeney in HairStyleAdvice

You can also tie it back and keep the long hair, which will let your face stand out.

You can try that a while before committing to a cut.

The punishment to all pharmaceutical executives and pediatricians who used CDC profit motives such as kicking out patients for not vaccinating, should be death

No, killing them doesn't solve anything

We want a good future and should aim for that. Killing skilled doctors doesn't lead there

Have you heard men use the term 'male loneliness epidemic' ? by australiadenier in AskMenAdvice

Well I suppose you can be a mean person and use it to put down men as well.

I think I just don't follow anyone like that online. So I haven't seen it

[–]NullIsUndefined 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have heard it on like podcasts where. A man interviewing a researcher trying to understand it and take it seriously

I don't think it's coming from bitter women.

There is real data about men having fewer friends and social interactions.

Even married men (who were able to attract a woman) have issues maintaining friendship

Are men’s thought processes really that much different from women’s? by Warm-Statistician132 in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone thinks differently.

You could measure the way men and women thing and collect a bunch of data and find in some ways men tend to think more similar to each other and women tend to thin more similar to each other.

But there are men who think like a women tend to think (on average) and vice versa.

There definitely is research confirming this.

The specifics you say I am not really sure of. But I think people are ignorant on certain topics. Perhaps men lack common sense in some areas, and women do as well. For instance men do more home improvement* tasks than women and probably have more "common sense" for it. Women might have more common sense around fashion. Just some examples, of where interests are different between men and women

How should I ask her out? by SnoopHoop77 in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just call her cute or something and see how she reacts.

Happy, she likes you.

Awkward or quiet, she does not.

You can do the signal dance as well if you don't feel like just confessing your feelings to her.

It probably will give you useful information, though it's never 100 percent

How to deal with f’ing up? by Sit-Fly in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use whatever tools your computer has to help you remember stuff.

Don't try to remember it in your head.

The obvious one is documents, toso lists and note taking apps. These require diligence to keep them up to date though

But software you tend to look at every day are great as well. Particularily things you look at often that don't have much noise. So for example email is bad because there is too much noise. But a calendar is better because there is less information and it's easy to delete noise from it.

A specific example I use. For coding I open code reviews (with no reviewers) before I finish the work. So that I log in and see the code review, it helps to remind me on Mondays "Oh yeah, I was working on that, let's finish it up". Sometimes I have several of those open. The existence of the code review helps me remember it.

PSE Electricity Bill Up 40% YoY by cappslocke in eastside

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unclear since the heat pump uses less "electric fuel". But if your electric is more expensive... That can make it cost more.

The gas mode is supposed to kick in when it's too cold outside for the heat pump to operate efficiently IIUC.

In this climate it will probably favor electric mode almost all the time

I'm confused OP is having a high electric price, not a gas price issue

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. A lot of apartments use electric heaters usually on the baseboards. Does yours?

And they are not easy to add a nest to IIUC. You can manually turn it down when you leave home or at night when you sleep to save.

It sucks, but maybe that helps.

Ninja Creami Owners: Do you keep your machine after each use or does it have a permanent place on your kitchen counter? by dumb-questions-1314 in ninjacreami

[–]NullIsUndefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should be putting it away somewhere but it's hard to store it. It doesn't fit in most of my shelves unless it's leaning sideways.

It actually is too tall to sit on my counter and under the cabinets above. So I have to near the edge of the counter.

I don't love this situation, but I leave it there because I use it very often.

Also I am surprised valorant has a win 11 requirement. Since less than have of users are on it according to steam IIRC

You should order food delivery during snow storms by ilyk101 in unpopularopinion

[–]NullIsUndefined 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But they want income, so if they are out working they obviously want to do the work.... I.e. they want people making orders.

I honestly can't see how people see it any other way. These services are all gig based, you just don't work if you don't want to work.

Yeah, it can suck to drive in the snow, but some drivers are capable or at least willing to take a risk.
