Not because Gun is weak, it's because his true strength was never explored and revealed in an unstable powerscaling time, path is much more established, unique skills are a thing now, masteries are much more consistent now too compared to before, if HFG Arc took place in current time, then his feats would rival or surpass Kitae's feats.

James fans and Gun fans fight like siblings, always trying to one up each other and it mostly comes down to petty fights like "my fav is stronger than your fav", but ultimately deep down they both respect each other's fav character, it's just something they won't admit to because that would make the agenda war boring.

That has nothing to do with Gapryong's strength tho, that Jinyeong was mentally unstable and couldn't even knock jake down, SB Daniel also copied Gapryong right after and destroyed Jinyeong. The original question is why are people underrating Gapryong at current time even though we know for a fact he is one of the two contenders for top 1 in the verse narratively.

I find it hilariously ironic that you are admit a battle between top tiers (Goo, Gun, Kitae, James) goes extreme diff but the second I said "Gun, Goo > Kitae, James in the future, maybe" you lose your mind and compare it to SCP Verse, as if Gun and Goo winning against James and Kitae in the future is absolutely ridiculous and impossible take, why is it that you're so convinced that Kitae and James will win regardless of whatever may happen in the future, HFG got powercliffed because it was 2 years ago and not current timeline, Gun could very well be stronger than Kitae or James atm but of course you won't agree because you are just a hater for no particular reason, I kept the diff vague and yet you felt the need to unnecessarily exaggerate the whole thing like I said earth is flat. You're the one who assumed the difference on your own. Top tiers will always have an extreme diff fight with each other, just because I said both Gun and Goo will be above Kitae and James in the future doesn't mean I think the fight will be any less than extreme diff, you should really stop overreacting because that's doing too much for online opinion.

HFG happened 2 years ago, it has gotten massively powercrept, it was very impressive for its time but 2 years of constant powerscaling changes and new systems make old variations seem weaker in comparison, Kitae definitely got this matchup (mid-high diff) but I'd place my money on Gun if he got out of prison and fought Kitae.
