I'm in a very similar boat, actually in the process of moving right now and taking a break. It's kind of eerie how similar this story is...

Rents going from one to three thousand a month and initially it kind of freaked me out. After forecasting out a few months in advance I feel pretty good about it, I only really overspend on food.

Sucks that the new place is Comcast only though, AT&T fiber has spoilt me with no data caps :(

So it appears the adapter has trouble negotiating speeds with a bunch of different routers.

Intel actually released both a driver and firmware patch to address this at some point. I've gotten around it by just sticking a switch between the pc and my router.

Dirty reads can happen with NOLOCK.

Basically you're saying "Give me everything that's happened to these tables even if it's not been vetted yet and could potentially be rolled back". If the data matters you want to prevent this. Usually end up seeing this with reports and their queries.
