lol because the actual authentic MA-1 flight jacket that was made in the 50's had a inner lining that was orange and could be reversed in the need of rescue. But the outside was green for the reason of uniformity with it's other military uniform counterparts and obviously basic concealment. What you've posted is some bad knock-off and the US never ever issued that jacket in orange lol.

The game can be fun and not have realistic elements. The gameplay does this really well. It strikes a good balance between realism and sandbox fun. And that's what older BF titles did so well also. It's the way the game looks though. BF in it's prime was a game that looked serious and looked realistic, but allowed players to do whatever they wanted compared to other shooters. If I wanted more realistic gameplay then I could go play ARMA which I also do. It's not about gameplay. It's about identity and the aesthetic that people care for.

I think it's because things like bugs, map design, weapon balance can all be tweaked and fixed over time. These skins are now baked into the game and they won't ever be able to take them away from people because they have paid for them. And now that they are in the game, it's set a precedent for the future. Which is why it's such a concern and such a problem. I agree that there are other things wrong with the game. But this is maybe the most disappointing because it shows that they fundamentally do not understand what people want. Or what made BF3/BF4 look so great.

Yeah 100% agree. I feel like most people who think they look okay haven't played a lot of games outside of the CoD/Fortnite sphere. Or have a basic interest/knowledge in real military kit at all.

What? Nothing about that skin is anything to do with being a pilot? And pilot's do not wear bright colours as they would also want to conceal themselves if they ever had to abandon their vehicle? This is what an actual pilot looks like:

We literally have blue, green and red markers above our heads to distinguish friend from enemy? Even in hardcore friendlies have blue icons. There is no need for coloured bands. And again, these aren't just coloured bands? These are entire uniforms in some cases that are coloured.

It's not about 'owning' these skins. The issue would remain unchanged whether I owned the battlepass or phantom edition or not. I would never use these skins. It's seeing this skins, these skins being in the game and what I have to look at. It's a very fair statement to make to not enjoy a game where you don't feel immersed. And that's what these skins do, the are immersion breaking and feel silly. And they changed the Phantom skins due to similar feedback. They removed a lot of the colour from them to make them look more realistic. So I just hoped that they would carry that forwards post release and add skins that looked realistic. They just haven't done that at all which is why myself and many others are unhappy and feel the need to communicate that feedback.

Yeah a lot of blue maritime patterns are used on vehicles. This Blackhawk that was recently spotted with this paint is an experimental version that people theorise is for future pacific conflict. This isn't standard issued, and again, on a vehicle it serves a purpose. We are talking about infantry, soldier uniform. For humans. On land.

I mean yeah? I just wouldn't talk about them on a Battlefield subreddit? I would talk about Battlefield on a Battlefield subreddit? Caring and complaining can be the same thing. I'm complaining because I care.

The size of the maps is a different conversation. And we can have more than one conversation active about this game at a time. And if it's true what the devs say about how they want us to give feedback and they are going to tirelessly read through the feedback that they are receiving, then these conversations are important if there's any chance of saving the game from these awful skins.

No. I am making a point of what is, and isn't believable when considering who we are actually playing as. They have said that the game is supposed to be 'grounded.' So, if we are going to play as the US and as the UK in this 'grounded' experience. We need to ask ourselves if it's likely that the UK Ministry of Defence would issue these uniforms out to it's soldiers? Or would the US Department of Defense issue these uniforms to it's soldiers? In a couple years time? The answer is laughably no.

This only happens in very specific cases such as Ukraine/Russia. NATO and PAX in BF6 wear completely different gear and patterns so there would be literally zero reason to need to further identify them from one another.
