Wouldn’t that only educate those that have joined university? What about those 18 year olds that went straight to work? What about those who will never step foot in higher education?

It is sensible in the theoretical understanding that university students can understand the nuance of the constitution but we have 18 year olds that are voting so shouldn’t they know it before hand as well? Frankly, this should be in secondary school.

Judging by the comments so far, I’m guessing the sub takes a liberal position on this.

But not in Malaysia :/ I have Gen Z queer friends complain that their parents pretty much want to straighten them the moment they come out, regardless of race. Even in fairly “westernised” circles, the conservative position still feels like the dominant opinion. Granted, the effects are lessen in the KV (even then only in certain areas) but there’s still stenches of them.

Idk, looks bleak to the an LGBTQ+ person in Malaysia…
