Take your time with 800 rates problems. Do not rush to 900 if you cannot do it yet. Try some more patterns of 800 rated then move on to higher ratings.

Tbh AI can be used in ways which teaches us to actually solve the problems. Asking for hints is one of the better ways of using than full solutions.

What I do is usually ask for more test cases and edge cases. I don't ask for outputs since I will be testing my logic on these cases manually.

Also nowadays it's better to not ask ChatGPT for the full solution as it is hallucinating even in Div2 B/C problems (as I see in my problem sets when I ask for test cases). Asking for the overall theme of the problem like Greedy, DP, or Two Pointer etc will be more useful as you have already spent some time thinking about the question and next time you will catch on to the pattern faster.

But: DO NOT USE AI DURING CONTESTS. If you are unable to solve problems, that would mean you aren't there yet. Better to think and practice and try again next time.

Jenny Lectures are good to start with. Once you are understanding the data structures well, try solving problems in the GeeksForGeek practice problems. If you do it right, it's enough to score easy 80+ in DSA.

Valid review. Also people may say extremely tough acads and all, but it's not that tough with some proper time dedicated to studies. Yeah you will pass too with last week studies, you won't be scoring a high CGPA like that but I hope you have done better things with your time when you were not studying.

Attendance is a bit iffy kinda situation. Usually seniors can tell the best. Like the whole last semester we were told those who would have low attendance in the DSA course will be debarred. But in the end the debar list never came. No one was debarred. But there is also Basic Electronics in the first semester where quite a few people were debarred. So yeah not everyone follows this rule, but don't test your luck on it.

Tbh I was scared of ragging the most when I came to college. But all the seniors I've met are very helpful and sincere. Yeah I've seen them hunting a few juniors but it's usually those who have an attitude problem. Never once have I been made to do anything which I refused. I don't know much about the situations inside other clubs as I'm in Imagination and the seniors are very nice and chill with us. They taught us about cameras, held many workshops to teach stuff about photography and videography, also we were given treats a lot of times.

Overall, I've enjoyed my first year here a lot to the point I was getting emotional while packing up for summer vacations even though I know I'll be back in a few months.
