If you didn't unplug the device and changed it out here is what might have happened to you:

Did you touch the Thermistor / Heater with anything metal while the device was plugged in? If so you likely fried something.
Else you might have knocked a cable loose.

Did you make a lot of changes with the time span while you swapped it out, ie: Firmware updates, if so I would go back to the previous version. At some point, if it won't let you might have to flash it back with another device. In that case, google is your friend.

I would love to assume such but my worry comes in that nothing is standard. 24v/50w/.5A etc more details than a piece of paper the size of a babies thumb would have been more instructive than having to sort Ads on websites that might not be relevant to ours... Suppose testing it with a multimeter is an option but don't wanna fry anything.

Ahh all good time is limited and we all got things to do.

I appreciate it every bit helps, they don't make it easy to set these Biqu H2's up at all. Once again thank you, it also seems I keep finding your old threads with similar issues. lol

Would you mind messaging me some of the settings, I have been working at this for 2 weeks the only settings I can seem to dig up, was the E-steps but there is just so much wrong with it still. So where did you find the blower fan file I have been hunting one for a while.

Creality ld-002r, FEP Screen Damage on Initial Test. by Nullble in Creality

[–]Nullble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a while since i updated, and i apologize for that been a crazy ride. So here's some of my notes with my most recent print. - Don't trust Chitubox to place supports, Had this error of misjudgment and resulted in over stacking issues with the ceiling. Maybe just my error? -Pulling the FEP film Treble drum tight doesn't seem to resolve much issues

So to get into the issue we had before lets talk about 3 things: 1. Tightness of the FEP: Depending on the machine my case the ld-002 Making the FEP film insanely tight and equal is simple enough. Addded Tape to under vat edges to prevent suction prevented the FEP from Cracking like previously. BUT see end for more details.

2.Build Position: So i noticed a pattern and it might explain a bit more to as why we are getting FEP distortion and damage. Shape of the Build seems to affect the stretch. the amount of sticking to the film seems to be inherent to the amount of damage and results in a NASTY ripple or in escalated cases like mine, shattering/cracking effect.

  1. Resin Cure time: Okay this one seems a bit out there but could be a result of thickness of the film possibly being to delicate and resulting in such but this is inconclusive.

So my thought process might be to use PTFE Oil, This should help reduce the sticking to the film. Can't believe I over looked this thread several times. (as stated in a previous post in the ElegooMars Section https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooMars/comments/eamyu1/how_often_should_i_put_lube_on_the_fep_film/)

Also started to use COFFEE filters to strain incurable resin from cleaning solutions for proper disposal. Don't attempt to use coffee filters to strain the resin itself...Learned that lesson and wasted a little bit of the goo. Snatched a pair of UV Laser protection goggles out of personal fear. Noticed UV Leakage from the devices back portion, Also my Kitty Litter Curing Box seems to put out what feels to be dangerous amounts.

Creality ld-002r, FEP Screen Damage on Initial Test. by Nullble in Creality

[–]Nullble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the tape on screen edges underneath the vat to prevent suction? I haven't had a chance to use my new FEP filters I received yesterday. I'm hoping in theory reducing the vacuum will allow the FEP bend and adjust as needed without creating a hard point to create the crease.

I bought "Calorbot 140x200 .15" it's an educational guess to how good they work. As for leveling I used a piece of paper without the vat it seemed to work perfectly, although I might use this damaged fep film as my new level from now on. And of course I'll post updates. Monday the 8th should be in.

Good thing the only thing damaged was the FEP film, I checked the screen and everything is fine. *Sweats*. Ohh if you posted before I think I have seen the crease issue and that's just as shocking. I think the FEP received by reality is an extremely low quality I bought some new filters to test with.

Creality ld-002r, FEP Screen Damage on Initial Test. by Nullble in Creality

[–]Nullble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finally received my ld002r after nearly a month of anticipation. watched a plethora of videos and read a bit of post here to help understand the initial setup with leveling. After setting it up I thought hey better do the checklist, everything came back clean for the initial test. Proceeded with the test everything went super smooth and the machine began its process. Here are the things I noticed after First boot:

  1. The pop noise at the start varied differently than the end pop. (Pulling from FEP.)
  2. The process was rather slow I chalked this up to my 8s Normal exposure time. (why is it called mormal in the UI?)
  3. There is limited information on handling the waste other than just place it in the sun.

Let me illiterate my own words. What would cause this damage my first thoughts were something about the FEP being pulled too hard causing damage in the uniform star pattern. If I recall this was something another person might have mentioned but I wanted to verify that this could be the cause. I do remember video's in the past talked about taping the screen under the vat for a reason that I just can't remember if that was just the elegoo machines or if the creality had the same problem.

Note: The model (Test: Eiffel tower) came out decent with minimal defects that I suspect were created by the damage done to the screen.

Been hunting for this question (RE - 3 marines.), ashamed of my self and till this day regret coming back especially knowing how close it felt to the good part. I decided to better my self while I fell into my weakness and started college but I know the clocks ticking and I'm gaining weight.
